REVIEW: Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs - Tan Glow

Firstly I just want to say thank you for your kind wishes I am feeling a lot better today I have a docs appointment this morning.

Anyway onto the review I shall start by saying I have been using this for a few months now and I have to say this is my favourite fake tan product. It does have a down side though but the colour and ease of use makes it a definite winner with me.

This is what the company say about the product:

If you have freckles, veins and imperfections on your legs that you want to cover up, Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs Tan Glow is the product for you. Your legs will look beautiful with a long-lasting wash-off tan. Silky smooth, long-lasting leg make up that stays put and washes off.
  • Covers imperfections, enhances skin tone and makes the most out of what you have got.
  • Safe, convenient and provides an instant result which you can wash off when you want.

How to Use

  • Shake can well.
  • Spray directly onto hand and apply evenly all over legs.
  • Allow to set for 60 seconds before dressing.
  • Easily removed with soap, water and a face cloth.
  • Use only as directed.

Firstly shake the can and spray onto your hand and then rub it into your legs, when you spray it in your hand you will be a bit taken aback as it looks like a blob of brown fizzy mess.  When you start rubbing it in it feels like thick foundation, basically its like foundation for your legs as its meant to cover veins and marks, I am not sure if it does as I don't really have any prominent veins or marks on my legs.
Because you can blend this so easily and the colour is so natural it looks fantastic.

This is my legs after 1 application with nothing else underneath.

***with flash***

***without flash***

Usually I wear my St Moriz (Dark) (the lovely Vix is a fan of this too)  and then I add this as an extra topping just to give that ultra flawless finish.  Airbrush Legs does have sparkly glittery bits in but its not so sparkly that it looks silly.
I use this a lot and not just on special occasions, and I use it all over my body apart from my face.

The downside with this is that it rubs off onto clothing and bedding so you have to be careful.

PROS

1) Easy to use
2) No Smell
3) Brilliant consistency
4) Foolproof you cannot go wrong with this stuff as you can see exactly where you put it and its so blendable
5) The colour is great
6) Its not too expensive
7) Washes off hands really easily after applying

CONS

1) It sometimes rubs off onto clothing/sheets etc
2) Washes off as soon as you have a bath or shower, which is a pro and a con really.

These are the colours in the range but I would strongly advise against the Deep Glow as I found it to be really orange.  I used it once and it looked like I had been tangoed big time, luckily you can wash it off straight away!  I have not tried the Light Glow or the Medium Glow as the Tan Glow is the ideal colour for me.

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs retails at £10.20 in Boots but I buy mine in Savers for £6.99. Sometimes Boots do Buy 2 get 1 free offers on this product. I know that Asda and Tesco stock it too but I am unsure of the price I know the cheapest I have seen it was in Savers.

The next one I am going to try is Palmers Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze, this is a moisturiser with fake tan in. I have heard great things about this so I will let you know what I think of this too!

Sick to the stomach!

Hi everyone

Well my bank holiday has not gone too well after we came back from the meal yesterday I felt really sick and had severe stomach pains..I spent all evening in the bathroom writhing in pain and being sick...nice! It was nothing I ate its due to an ongoing problem I have at the moment you know.....womens things!  Woke up at 4am this morning in agony and feeling incredibly sick again. Anyway I managed to get back to sleep and woke up feeling slightly better but my tummy hurts a bit where I have been sick....god I hate being sick!  I think another visit to the doctors is in order.

Anyway just a quick post on my favourite coats in store at the moment, of course I would love all of these but obviously won't be getting them all.  I may treat myself to one.  I really like the Awear one because its classic and I love cream coats there is something very elegant and stylish about a cream winter coat.  They also have that coat in red which would also be nice.

Awear Ecru Pippa Collar Coat - £65.00

Miss Selfridge Camel Faux Fur Trim Frock Coat - £80.00

Topshop Taupe Faux Fur Textured Coat - £89.00

F&F at Tesco Faux fur coat - £40.00

I love fake fur I think its so glamorous and feminine I have a fake fur jacket I bought years ago from Miss Selfridge but its looking a bit tatty now as I have worn it so much!
I hate real fur though it much better on the animal itself.
What do you think of these coats? Which is your favourite?

Oh by the way does anyone know where I can get good quality 200 denier tights? I don't want the woolly type but the smooth type if you know what I mean. Thanks ♥♥

Outfit of the Day - Sunday lunch

Bow Print Dress - H&M
Cardigan - Mango
Belt - Primark
Pumps - Dorothy Perkins

Mike and I took Mike's neice out for lunch today to the local Toby Carvery.  His neice is 17, she is a really nice girl.  Us girls had massive ice creams for dessert with chocolate sauce and a flake...yummy.  Mike is not a dessert person he hardly every eats cake, chocolate etc I wish I was like that ha ha.

We were going to go out somewhere after but it started to rain really heavy so we just came home.

Getting messy!

Hiya

How is everyone's weekend going?

Oh well we had a sort of disastrous visit to B&Q, we went there to get some things and ended up getting drenched in wood varnish!  The woman standing next to us dropped a whole tin of it and splattered all over her skirt, Mike's top and jeans and it was all over my Fiorelli bag! Nightmare.
I managed to get it out of my bag but it has not come out of Mike's jeans, luckily the top he was wearing is old! It was lucky there was not a small child or baby in a pram close by as it could have ended up all over their face and skin.

Anyway in B&Q we bought this birdcage lamp which I love,  not sure where I am going to put it yet but when the hallway gets decorated I may put it in there

we also bought this cream lampshade for our bedroom.  I want to do the bedroom shabby chic style.

I also love this duvet from Matalan which is something else I would like.

I actually like our bedroom but the wallpaper is a bit old it does remind me of Cath Kidston style though but when we do it all I want to just have plain cream walls.

I wore my foxy print tunic today with my tan skinny belt and cream cardi.  I do love this top as I love foxes plus I like the peter pan collar....I love these collars on dresses. Can you spot Tommy in the background??

Dress, cardi and skinny belt all Primark
Leggings - Awear
Boots - H&M

Tommy was watching me taking photos of myself with his usual look of amusement so I took one of him, he was not very impressed though and would not look at the camera... and yes that is a old towel he is lying on, he has been out in the rain and has dirty little paws all over my white bedding!!

ASOS Sale buys

Hello everyone

Thanks so much for all your opinions on the previous post, it seemed to be a mixed bag of opinions but after looking at the boots again I have decided I like the River Island ones more.   The reasons why are that I prefer the colour of the RI ones as the NL ones are more reddy brown which I am not as keen on also the RI ones look more expensive material and I like the gap at the front as they look more like cowboy boots.

This week I ordered a couple of things from the ASOS sale and with the codes Extra20 got 20% off too.

I ordered the following:

Asos Boyfriend Belt

Asos Crochet Stripe Waist Dress

There is some hope on the job front as I have three interviews, one next, another the week after and another the week after that.

Next week I shall be doing a review of Sally Hansen Airbush Legs I love this stuff.

Hope you all have a fabulous long weekend I am not sure what we are doing this weekend I suppose it depends on the weather.

I really need your opinion please!

Which of these boots do you prefer on me?  They are quite similiar.
I just wondered which you thought were best in colour, style, fit and how they look with my legs??

The 1st pair are from River Island

The 2nd pair from New Look

This is one taken with each on so you can see the difference!

As you are looking at them on the right are the New Look ones and on the left are River Island.

Thanks

Outfit of the Day - Cloudy skies

This outfit reminds me of cloudy days as its navy, grey and white!
I do feel this dress is more of a winter dress and looks great with opaques and boots.

Navy Dress - H&M
Grey shoes, grey belt and white top - Primark

Hubby gets home about 5pm and he just rang me to say he is going to take me out for dinner only to one of the local pubs but still its nice to eat out.

Last weekend I was thinking that I do spend a lot of money on clothes. Don't get me wrong I am not in debt and I can afford to buy things but I worry that maybe I should save more.

These are the rules I am going to follow to try to cut down on the spending a bit, it does not mean I will stop spending altogether but maybe just not as much.

1) Everytime I get a few spare £1 or £2 coins I am going to save them in a jar.

2) Have a few days a week where I spend absolutely nothing. This is easy at the moment as I am not working.

3) I have my hair trimmed every 8 weeks but I want to grow my hair longer anyway so I am going to cut this down to every 14 weeks....yeah my hair may look a mess for a couple of weeks but this will save me money and my hair will get longer quicker.

4) Ebay everything I no longer wear, need or use. (I already am doing this)

5) Everytime I buy something new thats over £10.00 I have to sell something. I sort of already do this too!

6) Visit the supermarket at night (we do this a lot too, not really late but after 5pm they reduce their prices on certain items

7) Never go shopping when I am hungry...you do spend more!

8) I have a mobile on pay as you go so therefore I am going to try to send more emails instead of texts.

What do you think? Whats your tips for saving money?

An elephant in the room!

As you know I love animals but the one animal I probably have a real affinity with are elephants (oh and dolphins)! Anyway about elephants,  I think they are amazing creatures I get emotional just seeing them on tv or at the zoo.
I could not watch the film 'Water for Elephants as it shows scenes of abuse and I know it will upset me. I personally hate animal circuses and in my opinion they should be all banned as they are one of the worse forms of cruelty for a wild animal.

Anyway onto the reason for this post, last week I bidded on this gorgeous elephant pendant on Ebay I got it for 99p plus £1.20 postage. I cannot wait to wear it.
I love the fact that its really long and will look cute with many of my outfits.

What is your favourite animal and why?

My new favourite lipstick

***Sorry you need to double click the photos to enlarge***

I love this lipstick its Natural Collection Rose Petal and is only £1.99, this photo is without gloss. Natural Collection lipsticks are really nice I have tried Apple Blossom and Pink Mallow but I love this its definitely the best in my opinion. I do like nude pink lipsticks.

I was thinking over the weekend how doing this blog has been good therapy for me.  I really feel that you my lovely followers have had such a positive impact on my life and my confidence, I mean last year I would never have done a FOTD post so that just shows how much I have grown. I always pull apart all my photos and I am hyper critical of myself (something my friends always have a go at me about) and I also always want perfection but have to accept that not one can be perfect.  I am learning to accept myself more and be happy with what I have and in turn this had helped my life in general. So a big thankyou ♥ to you all.

Over the weekend I was also lucky enough to win the Aussie pamper pack on Sadie's giveaway. I love Aussie products so I am so looking forward to receiving this
Big thanks to Sadie xx

Pizza and Shopping, a winning combination!

Hello everyone

Today Mike and I popped into town to have a look around.

Mike wanted to cheer me up as I have been rather down about being jobless etc and he bought me this dress in H&M, it looks lot nicer in reality than in the photos. Its quite a fitted dress and looks nice with a long sleeved top underneath.  I  have a pink basic top and I think navy and pink look quite nice together I also have a white one.  How sweet is he!

I went into Primark and picked up this from the sale rail for only £3.00 which I also have in white. I like it worn with leggings its such a pretty peach colour.

I looked at the bootcut jeans but they were not that good and I noticed these jeggings. These mid wash jeggings are the best ones I have (and I have a few pairs!)

they are my favourites because:

a) they are a size 10 haha I think they are a larger fit as I am a 12.
b) they are comfy
c) they fit really well
d) I love the colour, the camera does not capture the colour well but all my other jeggings are indigo and quite dark but these are paler and such a brighter colour like mid wash denim.... I love them!

Mike and I then had lunch at Pizza Hut, they have an offer on for any pizza and unlimited salad for £5.00.  You can print the voucher off here if you want one.
http://www.vouchercodes.co.uk/pizzahut
I think the offer runs out soon though.
The pizza was lovely and I was quite surprsed as it was a 6 slices and had lots of topping on. I had the Veggie Surpreme thin crust and Mike had the BBQ Americano...not bad for a fiver.

We then went to Tesco to do the weekly shopping and I bought some navy opaques and Mike bought me Meet the Fockers Little Fockers and himself The Expendables on DVD....they were on offer at £5 each and I have not seen Litte Fockers but loved the other Focker/Meet The Parents movies.

Anyway I have decided to set myself a little test....a spending plan and a get fit and toned plan...eek.  I shall let you into a secret the fit and toned plan started last Thursday!  I am going to blog about these ideas in another post.

Have a fabulous weekend and don't forget to enter my giveaway, there is still time! Please look here http://brunette-lady.blogspot.com/2011/08/200-follower-giveaway.html

OOTD & Matalan/TJ Hughes experience!

Dress/Tunic - Topshop via Ebay
Belt - Primark
Jeggings - New Look
Tan wedges - Dorothy Perkins

If you look closely you may spot Tommy in the background lying on the bed lol!

Yesterday I popped to Matalan....Oh my god Matalan is probably one of my new favourite stores ....thats strange saying that as I used to feel it was a bit ermmm...........tacky!!! I know you are probably gonna laugh at that seen as the girl loves Primark but Matalan always made me think of...sorry but chavs! eek

The clothes are ok, the Be Beau range have some lovely items but they also have some lovely things for the home I could have bought loads. Gorgeous duvet covers,  lovely lights and floral arrangements just so many gorgeous items and at good prices.

Anyway I bought THE dress the one I loved! Its lovely it is high on the neckline for me but it looks great with the top 2 buttons undone as larger chested girls tend not to suit high necklines.
Its so flattering on and I love the scallop detail on the sleeves and front.  Love love love this dress.

I also bought a mirror and I tried some jeans on as I have been after a pair of bootcut jeans (I know they may be a bit out now) but I like them as they are flattering. I do like wearing skinnies and jeggings but hate my thighs with a passion so I always wear things that cover them...although my friends always say I have thin thighs...yeah I wish.
The jeans were good in there but not the fit I really wanted, therefore I will have a look in Primark next time I am in town as I don't want to spend a lot on them.

On the retail park where Matalan is they also have a TJ Hughes which as you may probably know is closing down so thought I would have a look. The sign outside said 90% off so how could I not look.  I thought to myself wow this is going to be good.....understatement of the century!
People were going mad in there is was like it was the end of the world but it was absolute rubbish! Honestly I cannot explain how awful it was, all they had left were tubs of make up that were covered in foundation, lipstick and blusher where the packaging was damaged, hideous clothes and teapots with no lids....ha ha who wants a teapot with no lid???
The queues were massive and people were buying loads.

I also popped into Pets at Home and bought Tommy 2 tubs of treats that were on offer. He does love his little treats.
