Outfit post and my new boots!

Hiya

In one of my previous posts I mentioned the taupe boots I bought from BHS for a bargainous £13.00.   I picked them up from store on Friday and could not believe how nice they were for the price.  They were originally £35.00.

What do you think?

The tan is the Soap & Glory Glow Getter which I was going to do a review on.  To be honest I am not overly keen on it, I find its really hard to rub in and having used Sally Hanson Airbrush Legs which is a far superior product I would not buy it again.

This is my outfit today:

Fox Dress - Primark
Cardigan - Mango
150 denier tights - ASOS
Belt - H&M
Boots - BHS

Mike has just gone to pick up my mum from the train station so looking forward to seeing her.

Have a lovely weekend

Day 06 - Anything Hello Kitty

Hiya

Sorry for the long delay in posts I have just been so busy as its hectic at work at the moment.

Just a quick update, I have not been up to that much lately just working,....but I am only in work on Monday this week as my mum is coming down tomorrow to stay for a few days and we have a couple of days out planned.  We were going to Bourton on the Water but thats been cancelled so we are going to Cardiff on Tuesday and Clarks Village on Thursday.  I have not shopped in a while so it will be nice.  Although I have had some great Ebay bargains which I shall blog about soon.

Onto Day 6 of the challenge and its anything Hello Kitty.  Well as you probably know I love Hello Kitty I have a calendar, make up bag, and a few other Hello Kitty items but I must say I saw this overnight bag from Avon and thought how cute!

I was so tempted to buy it but I already have a few overnight bags but maybe I could squeeze one more in my wardrobe...what do you think?

I will be catching up on your blogs today so expect some comments from me.

Take care

My online bargains

Hello ladies

Today I have been having a rather lazy day, watching tv and reading.

I have also purchased a few things online with some amazing discount codes.

Firstly I ordered these Taupe shoe boots from BHS!!! Yeah I know BHS is a bit 'fuddy duddy' as I alway say but they do have some good things too.
These were originally £28.00 reduced to £17.50 but then I got a further 25% discount and free delivery to store so these were just £13.12.

Then onto H&M.  I know H&M is pretty bad with their delivery as it seems to take eternity to reach you but you can save quite a bit of money with their brilliant discount codes.

Firstly I ordered this sand beige pencil skirt.  When I met my friends for lunch last Friday one of them was wearing this skirt and I love it as it fits so nicely and its a really nice quality thick material.  It was £12.99 but with a code 9690 got 25% off it was reduced to £9.74.

Also this navy blue skirt  was £14.99 with the discount it was £11.24

These skirts will be ideal for work in the coming spring/summer.

I also ordered some duvet covers for our spare room.  These were originally £24.99 reduced to £7.99 and after discount were £5.99 each.  The photo does not show the design very well but they are plain white with like a broderie anglais part on the pillowcase and top part of the duvet...so pretty!

Plus with discount code 1304 I got a further £5.00 off the entire order.

They have promised the delivery to be sometime this week so hopefully it will turn up in time.

Good things this week

Mike and I went out for lunch today and this was my outfit.

Dress, cardi and belt - all H&M

Lunch with the girls yesterday.  It was so nice for us all to catch up as one of my friends lives in Swindon but was in Bristol for a course.

Taking my 'damaged' camera back and swapping it for a brand new one without spending a penny. I am so thankful that I took out that extended warranty!

With all the awful torrential rain this week I really needed an umbrella. I popped into Primark and could not decide which one I liked more so I bought both.  Gorgeous umbrellas only £4.00 each

My favourite nail polish 'Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream'.  I bought it with my Boots points.  I wanted the mint one too but it was sold out!

I totally love Naked Shampoo and Conditioner, I think its the best I have ever used and it smells divine.
It makes my hair so soft and shiny.  All hair and beauty is 3 for 2 in Boots so I also got some Naked Serum which is also fabulous stuff.

I got this Topshop Mint Tunic on Ebay for only 99p plus £2.00 postage.  I actually bought this dress last April it was £22.50.  I wore it about 3 times and the bow started to fall off and it developed holes so I took it back for a refund.  I am so glad I was able to get it again and for a fraction of the  price.

One more week in work and I have some time off....yipee.

Have a lovely weekend

Day 04 — Your favourite foundation

Hello lovelies

Thanks for all your comments on my previous haul post I am so happy with my buys.  Yesterday I took back the pink blouse and got another one minus the nail varnish stain!
Anyway onto day 4 of the challenge and to my favourite foundation.

I suffered badly with spots as a teenager and I always hated my skin so foundation was my lifeline, its the one make up product I could not go without.

I have used various foundations over the years, Clinique, Max Factor you name it I've tried it but I thought I had found the best of the best when I started using Estee Lauder Double Wear until I came across Vichy Dermablend foundation and have never looked back.

This foundation is amazing, its has such great coverage you and don't need to use as much.  I use shade 45 Gold.

When I first heard about this foundation I saw this video on youtube and thought it was amazing!

My skin is not that bad now I am older, however I do still get the occasional spot but I think in a way having oilier skin is a good thing as you don't age as badly....thats one positive I suppose.

Vichy Dermablend foundation retails at £15.50 for 30ml in Boots

Haul - Ladylike style

Hello ladies

Yesterday I popped into town,  I work in town so I don't really like going in on a Saturday but an hour at lunchtime is just not enough time to shop properly....not for me anyway!

These are my new items, please ignore the black mark I am taking my camera in this week to try and either get another one or get it fixed!

In H&M I picked up this blouse it was in the new Conscious Collection range.  Its really pretty and versatile I thought I could wear it tucked into a skirt and also as its longline I could wear it with denim jeggings or skinny trousers and heels.  I love it.

I love the detail on the collar and down the front.

I also bought another blouse courtesy of Primark. This was £10, a bit steep for Primark ha ha........I love the ruffle neckline and its a lovely soft pink.  The annoying thing is I got home and noticed there was a massive stain on the front....it looks like nail varnish so I am going to have to take it back Monday and exchange it.  Its so anoying as I tried it on in store and never even noticed it!!!

I wanted some pretty blouses and these are just gorgeous.

Also in H&M I bought this black chiffon shirt dress, which I thought would be lovely for work.

and a plaited belt.

I am really loving H&M at the moment.

Onto New Look where I picked up this soft pink dress in the sale for £10.00. I love the zipped back.  Its a lovely soft stretchy material and I love this sort of blush pink.

Going back to Primark I also bought a pretty quilted make up bag

and Birdcage necklace

Sorry its not a great photo, the lighting is awful so its does not really do it justice.

I am going to Skip Day 3 of the challenge as to be honest I have not got a favourite brush!! I think it must mean make up brushes and although I do wear make up daily I don't use expensive brushes so I am sorry I will have to pass on that one!

Have a lovely weekend.

Outfit and Face of the Day

Hiya

Today Mike and I popped over to the cattery to see where Tommy will be going when we are away, its a really nice place and the ladfies who run it are so friendly and just adore cats! Although I will be upset when we leave him I know he will be taken good care off...he is like my little baby to me! Its only for 5 days so I am sure he will be fine.

This was my outfit:

I am not sure why the photos look blurry because they are not blurry on my camera! weird

Cream lace sleeved dress/tunic - New Look
Light denim Jeggings - PDA at Dorothy Perkins
Floral Wedges - New Look
Bow Belt - Primark

I love these jeggings so much this is the second pair I have bought from Dorothy Perkins and to be honest I don't think I would buy them from anywhere else now.  These are a make called PDA and they were made in Lisbon as they are a Portuguese company. The quality of these jeggings is just fab and they are so comfy and look like proper denim.
The tunic I got in the sale in New Look last year for £12.00.

and my face (I don't often show this!!!)

Nude/peach hair slide (what you can see of it) is the Babyliss ones I mentioned in my previous post.

Foundation - Vichy Dermablend in Gold - this is lovely foundation the best I have tried.
Topshop Sunshimmer Crayon on my eyes
Revlon Black mascara
17 black eyeliner
Collection 2000 blush in Peach Melba
Collection 2000 lipstick  in Rose Petal

I wil try and do some more outfit posts.

Latest internet purchases!

Hiya everyone

Well after my last post about the H&M blazer I ended up taking it back and getting the smaller size, I must admit I do prefer it and I think it looks better.

Since buying the blazer I have gone a bit 'blazer crazy' and decided I would like another one and thought cream would be ideal for summer and would look great with many of my dresses and jeans.

I saw this one from Forever 21 and ordered it...

it came yesterday and I love it the material is lovely and it looks a lot more expensive that it was.

I love Forever 21 they are fast becoming one of my favourite online stores.

Then this morning I happened to be reading Reveal Magazine and noticed that the lovely Katie Piper had mentioned a dress she liked from Madam Rage, a company I had heard of but never really had looked at the their website. They do sell dresses in New Look and House of Fraser though.
On their website they currently have a discount with 35% off and when I saw this dress I just had to order it plus I used some paypal funds!  The top half is lace and the bottom a ditsy floral print.  I just hope its as nice in reality as it looks on the website.

Plus in Boots the other day I got these pretty hairslides from Babyliss! I did not even know that Babyliss did hair slides but these were £3.00 and as I had loads of boots points I thought I would use some.
I think they are so cute and I love the nude/peach colour.

Have a lovely bank holiday weekend

Happy Easter

Hiya everyone and happy Easter

Its so nice to have four days off work....yipee.

We do not have much planned, today I am mainly doing housework and I am going to try and sort my wardrobes out again! Tomorrow we are going to visit a Cattery as we have to put Tommy in one when we go away in August and we may have lunch out.
We have nothing planned for Sunday and Monday as yet as it depends on the weather.

My mum has booked her train tickets to come and stay with us for a week at the beginning of May. I have a week off work so we are going to go on a few days out, so looking forward to it.

We are going to go to Bourton on the Water (which is very pretty and quaint)

Clarks Village (a discount shopping outlet) and maybe Weston Super Mare.  We will also probably go into town and have a look around a few charity shop. My mum loves the Charity shops.

I have made a couple of of online purchases which I wil blog about tomorrow.

I will be catching up on all your blogs today.

Remember not to stuff yourselves too silly with chocolate..ha ha!

Saturday treats from Bath

Hello everyone

On Saturday Mike and I went to the beautiful georgian city of Bath for the day, because of the ridiculous queues at the petrol pumps we decided to let the train take the strain!

We had such a nice day, we had lunch at Wetherspoons and did some shopping.

We went to one of my favourite shops in Bath...Cath Kidston, the CK shop in Bath is really big and it was really busy.

There were so many pretty things I literally wanted it all. .  I went off upstairs to have a browse and Mike said he was going to wait outside anyway when I came down he handed me a Cath Kidston carrier bag and inside was this gorgeous Hampton Rose Clasp purse!  He knew I loved it and bought it for me.....it matches my bag and its so pretty, I am a lucky girl. .

In H&M I bought this peachy pink blazer. I do not actually own a blazer as I find it really hard to find one that suits my shape as I am very busty.  I got a size 12 but wondered if I should have gone down a size...do you think it looks right or too big?  What do you think?  Its very sugary peach which is fine by me as I love girly colours.  Mike said it looks lovely on me but he is bias as he thinks I look great in everything so I would really appreciate your opinions?

Also in H&M I bought this daisy print skater style dress, I have a few of these dresses from H&M in various patterns and colours. It was only £7.99 and I think the shape is very flattering.

Also from H&M, mint and gold necklace - this is so delicate and pretty.

I have now got the blazer bug and I would like a nice cream one too.

Anyway have a lovely weekend whats left of it!
