Fashion and Make up buys!

Well I had to pop into town this week for an appointment and ended up going in my favourite shop, yep you guessed it...Primark! I think soon the staff are going to be on first name terms with me!

In the end I returned the peach skater tunic from my previous post as although I love the style and pattern it just did not suit my large chest, it was so low cut that basically everything was on display..not a good look! I also returned a top I brought a while ago that was never 100% sure on. In return I ended up buying the cream version of the black bow dress as I really love that dress.

Also I brought this floral and lace tunic dress only £8, not 100% sure on this but I like the look of it and it reminds me of being very 60's! I thought of wearing it with black opaques and boots. What do you think?

And these suede look boots..only £12, I love the style and the heels.

Its probably not best to wear them in the rain though!

I also brought some make up:
Revlon Colourstay foundation in Natural Tan, this is my favourite foundation. I used to buy Estee Lauder's Double Wear and it was double the price of this and I think its exactly the same.

L'oreal Volume Million Lashes. I must say this mascara is brilliant and I would definitely recommend it. I used this last night and it made my lashes look so long and full.

Natural Collection lipstick in Sorbet, this has to be my favourite lipstick and such a good price. Its such a lovely pretty pink colour.

Last night Michael and I went out for a meal to a local italian with two other couples. We had such a great evening I wore the cream dress with a black waist belt and heels.

30 Day Tag: Day 6 - Whatever Tickles Your Fancy

Well I thought as I could choose whatever I wanted for Day 6 I thought I would do this:

1. Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or Nice hair and no make-up?

I wear make up every single day so I would say nice make up and messy hair!

2. Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?

I would rather have no eyebrows than no eyelashes. Eyelashes are a big thing for us girls, the longer the better so I would have to say no eyebrows. I suppose I could easily draw in eyebrows, although I hate that look!

3. Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?

Mac, they have the best cosmetics.

4. Would you rather wear lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?

The lipgloss/liner look please, 80's perms are just awful!

5. Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?

Overdone blush I think, hopefully it would fade!

6. Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?

Neither, sorry I could not choose!

7. Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered?

Bad orangy spray tan and I would just cover up completely lol

8. Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair colour?

Hmm, bad hair colour! I love my long hair and would be so upset if I had a bad haircut. I never colour my hair its dark brown and I like it the colour it is.

9. Would you rather have youtube or twitter taken away forever?

Twitter, I never use it.

10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?

Give up make up brushes, I could never ever go without mascara!!!

Primark and Matalan haul

Thank you for all your lovely comments regarding my rabbit. Its been hard after the past weeks events. Its so sad still when I look at the hutch it just seems so empty. I suppose time will help but I will never forget him.

I popped into town yesterday to meet up with a friend I have not seen for ages, we had lunch and went shopping.

I had a little spree in Primark I brought the following:

Bow Ruffle dress, this is so cute I am going out next Saturday night for a meal so I may wear it with some mega high heels.
I love the print.

Heart dress, this is so flattering and really cute.

Peach floral skater tunic

White cami top

I popped to Matalan on my lunch break on Friday and I brought this hairband, its looks so pretty on and goes really nicely with my dark brown hair. They have some gorgeous jewellery in there but I could have spent a small fortune!

and these socks were 50p each in the sale, I particularly love the roses.
.

Has anyone noticed that Primark prices have increased? Don't get me wrong its still cheap and a lot cheaper when you compare to other shops!

What did you do this weekend?

RIP bunny

Today I had such an awful day as our remaining rabbit had to be put to sleep.

We had him for 10 years, we used too have two they were brother and sister but his sister passed away 4 years ago. He had a good life and most rabbits only live to 7-8 so he lived a lot longer than expected.

He was a great rabbit always gentle and soft, never aggressive.

Today was such a heartbreaking time for me I have been crying all day. I know people will say 'oh its only a rabbit' but he was part of the family and to us its like the end of an era.
They were our first ever pets in our new home so its truly so sad that they are both now gone.

RIP little rabbit

Tag: 30 Day - Day 5 Your Favourite Quote

This is a good one as I have loads of quotes I love but I have two favourites (sorry cheating...again)

It is just like man's vanity and impertinence to call an animal dumb because it is dumb to his dull perceptions.
- What is Man?
by Mark Twain

No one in the world needs a mink coat but a mink. ~Murray Banks

I thought I would leave you with a photo taken at the Living Coasts in Torquay...its beautiful there and you can see right out to sea. I will put some more photos up when I get chance.

Tag: 30 day - Day 4 Favourite Book

I have a confession I love reading, you know when you go into a bookshop and it has that 'smell' the smell of brand new books.

I really enjoy reading girlie fiction I have all the Sophie Kinsella Shopaholic books.

I also love crime books and real life crime stories. I have read the Rachel Nickell book and the police investigation was really interesting.

Probably my favourite book is also an extremely sad book its 'Goodbye Dearest Holly' written by Kevin Wells father of Holly Wells who along with Jessica Chapman were abducted by evil Ian Huntley.

I feel uneasy saying this is my 'favourite book' as its not so much a favourite but more like a thought provoking and incredibly sad book about a hideous crime that never should have happened.

I cried all the way through it, the book is so well written and you really feel like you are there with the family at the worse time of their life. I admire Kevin for being able to write this about his precious daughter, she sounded like a lovely little girl who had everything to live for and her whole life ahead of her.

The reason I brought this book is when this story was on the news back in 2002, I remember that I could not sleep for days while these girls were missing. I remember I used to wake in the middle of the night and watch the 24 hour news as this crime really affected me like nothing else before.

My Style icons - Pixie Lott & Kelly Brook

I love their style.

Pixie Lott is just stunning, I love how she wears little dresses and skirts. I too have loads of dresses. Her style is so feminine yet funky.

She has a gorgeous figure and is not like a stick like certain other female celebrities. I love how she wears little dresses and skirts. I think she is just so ultra feminine and gorgeous.

I admit I have even tried to do my hair like hers with the plait at the side.

Kelly Brook is my other style icon and she too also has an amazing figure.

I think Kelly dresses very ladylike, ultra glam and feminine.

Who are your style icons?

Tag: 30 Day - Day 3 Favourite TV Programme

Well this is another hard one but I think my favourite tv programme was Cold Feet, I don't think there has been another programme made as good as this.
These clips are from Cold Feet this episode will always stay in my mind as its when Rachel has the car accident. It makes you realise how life can be cut short so quickly. When I first watched it the shocking thing was how you did not know the truck was coming it just happened! The acting in this programme was just excellent.

I also like real life police shows, I like the fact that they are based on reality but the funny thing is I hate violence so I find it strange that I love these shows.

I really have respect for the police and I respect anyone who does this hard and at times thankless job.

I also like How to Look Good Naked, Coronation Street and a lot of dramas.

Review: St Tropez Bronzing Mousse

Hiya

Well I used the St Tropez while we went away and I have to say I think its quite good.
This photo was taken about 5 mins after the 1st application so you can imagine it gets darker after a few hours and if you re-apply every day then it does look very deep and I loved the colour.

Pros

1) Gives a nice colour and you can see where its going.

2) Smells ok

3) Lasts a long time although needs to be re-applied after showering to maintain the tan.

Cons

1) Stains your palms and is very hard to remove from your palms so I would say next time I would apply with a self tan mitt or rubber gloves.

I would buy this one again and I do like the colour.

Back from the English Riviera!

Hi lovelies

Well we went away last Monday for a few days to Torquay and we had such beautiful weather apart from Wednesday when it was a bit overcast.

Just had a nice relaxing time I will put some photos on here in the next couple of days.

We visited Living Coasts which is the coastal zoo in Torquay, its a lovely place and upstairs they have a cafe which overlooks the sea and the harbour, the view is breathtaking. I did not want to come home if I am honest and I really want to live in Torquay or Paignton its so lovely!

We also went to Paignton Zoo which was brilliant, the best zoo I have been to its massive and the animals have a lot of space. The only thing that upset me is they have one elephant called Duchess, the other elephant Gay died earlier this year. It was sad to see her alone but I asked the keepers if they were getting another elephant for company and they told me they would not be but that Duchess had coped so well with Gay's death. I do believe that elephants live in groups and I think its just so sad to see her alone!

We ate so much we had breakfast every day and a 3 course meal every night so I have probably put on loads of weight. I am going to back to the gym tomorrow and starting a diet as I really do need to lose some weight.

Whilst in Torquay we did go around the shops one day and I brought the following:

I brought this tunic in the Topshop sale for a fiver, its really flattering.

In Primark I brought these taupe shoes, they look much nicer worn than in the photo

Long navy cardi (half price only £5)

Hair bands

I also brought this bra in La Senza clearance store in Somerset for £5!

Anyway I shall catch up on peoples blogs this weekend and I will post some photos from my little break

Tag: 30 Day - Day 2 Favourite Film

Gosh this is a really hard one as there are so many.

I love programmes based on reality ie a lot of real crime programmes and police shows but when it comes to films I enjoy romantic comedies the most.
I hate anything violent or scary.

Therefore I am going to have to say I have 3 favourite films (sorry I know thats cheating)

1) How to lose a guy in 10 days.

I love this film, I think Kate Hudson is so pretty and quirky and even though I don't fancy Matthew McConnaghy I love him in this film.
Its just so funny and sweet.

2) Serendiptiy

I believe in fate and I believe there is a certain someone for everyone you just have to find them!
I think things do happen for a reason and thats why I love this film.

3) Marley and Me

This film to me is just the perfect life plus I adore Marley!
Owen Wison is kind of cute for the geeky guy! and I never want to age just like Jennifer Anniston she looks so young and pretty.
