My winning Yumi Dress :)

Last week on the Yumi facebook page they picked 10 people to win a Yumi dress of their choice.  I could not believe I was chosen as one of the 10.  There are a few dresses on there I love but ultimately this was the dress I really wanted.  Yumi dresses are such great quality and fit.

Yumi Forest Silhouette Dress

They had it in blue or purple, the blue was my favourite but it had sold out in my size so I chose the purple.  It arrived the very next day and its stunning.  In a way I am glad I got the purple as I don't have much purple in my wardrobe.  Its a gorgeous thick material and it fits like a dream, it has a sort of a-line style so is very flattering.   You can tell its great quality too and I also love the long sheer sleeves too.

I am over the moon with my win,  such a fabulous dress cannot wait for it to get colder so I can wear it.  Thankyou Yumi :)

Blackpool weekend and an outfit

Hello everyone

On Friday we went to Blackpool for the weekend to visit my parents and my sister and her family.

I wore this dress to travel in....big mistake! It poured it down with rain so I looked rather silly in a floaty cream dress.  Its from H&M and has a lace effect top and floaty bottom, I think its a pretty dress though.

We had a great time, I did not want to come back to be honest!

I spent time with my dad which was great he is looking really well, the doctor said he is one tough cookie as he seems to be recovering well.

My parents actually live on the outskirts of Blackpool so its not actually classed as Blackpool.  I went shopping with my sister, we always end up going to charity shops usually in Cleveleys which is closer to where my parents live.  I love Cleveleys it has a main street with loads of cafes (which we frequented and I enjoyed many a chocolate milkshake) and shops and lots of charity shops plus it has a B&M bargains...another shop I love.  The charity shops in Cleveleys are a lot cheaper than Bristol and I bought 3 dresses for a fiver which I shall tell you about in a separate post.

We also a visited a place called Freeport which is like a retail shopping outlet place in Fleetwood, which again is a separate town outside Blackpool.  I do like Freeport there is not many great shops there but it has a harbour and is quite relaxing.  They have the usual M&S outlet, Next Clearance and various other shops plus a childrens play area and many cafes.  

I bought a couple of dresses from Next Clearance, a shop I never usually go in but I have to say they had some lovely clothes in this store.  I shall show you these in a separate post.

On Saturday night we went out for a meal and then had a stroll along Blackpool prom to see the famous Blackpool Illuminations, here are some photos I took, I am surprised they came out so well.

Well we had a lovely weekend and I was so sad to come home but we will be back at Christmas though :)

Wishlist: George at Asda

Hello everyone

After checking out George at Asda's new range for Autumn/Winter 2013 I was very impressed.

I will definitely be taking a look at the following items:

Chelsea Boots - Ok so I know I have loads of tan boots but I don't have any Chelsea Boots and I really need Chelsea boots right???  I love the look of these as they don't look too manly.  I can imagine wearing these with opaques and cute dresses.

  

Pearlescent Bow Knitted Dress - this is just too cute for words I really want this. 

Jacquard Tunic - The colour of this is gorgeous, its so bright and I like the jacquard effect.

 Contrast Sleeve Tunic Dress - there is just something about this dress,  I think its so smart and stylish looking.

Currently loving.............

Going to Blackpool to visit my parents - My dad seems to be getting better after his stroke.  He is out of hospital now and his speech seems to be improving. Its a long hard road and he still has a long way to go but he is definitely getting better.  He will never be his old self and its sad, I think that's the hardest thing for me to accept but at least he is alive and getting better.

My husband booking time away for my birthday to Devon as a surprise.  My birthday is not until November but I cannot wait.  We are staying in a hotel we go to often it has a jacuzzi and indoor pool.

Eating healthy and losing weight - I have been doing so well on my diet I have cut out all the junk food and am now eating at least 5 pieces of fruit a day! The other day I actually turned down ice cream!!  I do feel better for it and I have started to notice some difference in my body.

Bag a Bargain

Hiya

 I was over the moon yesterday as I have lost 5lb...finally!  After a couple of weeks of dieting I thought nothing was changing so I was getting really down but I persevered and lost 5lb...wow.

I need to carry on though and loose more. I actually got in a pair of size 10 skinny jeans (they were stretchy and may have been a slightly bigger 10) I know I am not a 10 just yet but my clothes are feeling much better.  I also do not feel hungry all the time like I used to and when I have a small meal I am full which is great.

I popped to a local car boot sale today and although therewas not a lot there I did get a bargain I purchased this Rocha John Rocha leather bag for 50p.  Its like new and such a lovely bag.  I would have paid £1.00 for it but the guy said 50p...amazing! 

I was looking at Rocha John Rocha online and most of the bags are £60 and over, most around £100!

Such a great bargain.

Mini Sale haul!

Hiya everyone 

Have you been enjoying the sunshine? Its been gorgeous and I am so lucky to have the time off right now.

Following on from my previous post when I purchased the fake fur jacket I also bought a few other bits which I thought I would show you. 

Firstly in New Look I purchased this nude skater skirt in the sale for a fiver.  I love this and its ideal for winter as I can wear it with tights and boots.

In Primark I purchased this Cobalt Blue Skater Dress also for a fiver.

I adore this dress so much as the colour and the fit is really nice on me. It was a bargain for £5.00

Some tights ready for autumn and I thought the eyeshadow apps were a bargain, they are 15 applicators for £1.00. 

And a bottle of the Palmers Cocoa Butter moisturiser with fake tan.  Out of all the gradual tans I find this one is the best and it smells delicious.

New Fake Fur Jacket

Hello lovelies

Well I was so excited last Saturday as I popped into town with a friend for a few hours and happened to clap eyes on this fake fur beauty.  I picked it up hoping it would look nice on me and it would not make me look like the Honey Monster or Pat Butcher...! 
 I have tried a few fake fur coats on and they seem to drown me and look ridiculous, however this jacket is gorgeous and it fits really nicely.

Luckily as I know someone who works for New Look I got 25% off too and of course I still had some of my gift vouchers anyway :) 

I also bought a few other things which I shall put in a separate post as I feel this coat needs its own post..its beautiful.

Everything 5 Pounds.com - Day & Night Dress haul

Hiya everyone

Following on from one of my previous outfit post I thought I would share with you my dress haul from Everything 5 Pounds.com.

 I do love this website they do have some occasional gems.

I ordered these four dresses last week for just £5 each.   Two of them are day dresses and two of them evening/party dresses.  The first two dresses are from Asos and retailed at around £30.00 each.  They still had the ASOS labels on!!   

Ditsy Floral Crochet Collar Dress- as shown in my previous outfit post.

Sweetheart Bow Belt Dress -  I love this its ideal as a work dress.

Cut Out Lace Bust Bodycon Dress in Black- this is stunning but the photos I took do not do it justice.

Laced Shoulders Dress in Burgundy - unfortunately this one does not suit me at all so I am sending it back.  Its a nice dress just not my style.

I am so pleased with my order as 3 out of 4 ain't bad!    

Also just to make you aware I am going to be holding a giveaway once I can achieve 300 followers...not too far off!   I have been purchasing items for the giveaway and have some lovely things already :)
