Farewell The Brunette Diaries and Moving on

Hiya everyone

As some of you may be aware I have been having problems with this blog for a while so therefore I have decided to end it.  This will be my last post on this blog, however its not really the end of blogging as I have set up a brand new blog "hooray" and here is the link below:

I know it means starting all over again but I think its a good thing, I am hopefully going to be writing more posts on the new blog and have some new ideas for posts and I will be able to leave comments on your blogs again as with The Brunette Diaries I was experiencing problems receiving and leaving comments.

Anyway its bye bye to this blog :( its rather sad really as I have so many followers, not that the amount of followers bothers me...I do blogging as I love talking about clothes and beauty etc its just I have had this blog for a few years so its the end of an era.

I just want to take the opportunity to thank all of you lovely people who read my blog and for following me and leaving me lovely comments.

A little haulage - Primark & New Look

Hiya

Yesterday a friend and I went to Cardiff for the day.  Trouble is we don't get much time to look in many shops as we tend to spend ages in Primark....I love Primark in Cardiff though.

Here is my haulage:

Firstly in Primark I bought this nude vanity bag.....I love this it actually looks a lot more expensive than it was and feels like leather. I am putting this in the bathroom with all my toiletries in.

 

Navy & White stripe cardigan - a bargain for £6.00. 

 

Lace PJ Bottoms - love this they are not actual lace but have like a lace effect...they are gorgeous.  My friend also bought a pair too.

 

 

 

I love the fact Primark are now selling bigger cup sizes now and I purchased this bra its lovely and was only £7.00

Pretty hairslides ( I always am a sucker for these!!)

In New Look I got this Shopper bag, this is actually going to be my gym bag as I hate anything sporty so thought this would be ideal...plus its quite spacious.

 

Cute socks, I really needed some new socks to wear inside my boots

 

 

Mint Cardigan - loving mint colour for Spring

 

 

 

Just a quick update...the new job is going really well and I am lot more settled and happier.  Also the gym is going well I go 3 times a week which includes Zumba, Step and Pump.  I love Zumba I think its the best fitness class I have ever done.  I think going to the gym has improved my confidence and is making me feel a lot better.  I am hoping I see some results soon.  I have only been going for a couple of weeks so there is only a small difference.

25 Random Facts About Me.

Hiya

I have seen this tag on a few blogs and thought I would give it a go...I was unsure at the start whether there were 25 random facts..................

1) I have a big aversion to black shoes.  I own one pair of black heels which I hardly wear.  I love my ballet pumps but I just have this thing about black ballet pumps I hate them so much!

2) I nearly drowned once and so therefore I never learnt to swim

3) I have to be tanned.

4) I thought Fifty Shades of Grey was rubbish!

5) I love real crime series

6) I am only 5ft 3in but have been called Leggy Lisa because I have slender pins and tiny ankles..people always comment on my legs

7) I hate nuts & seafood! yuck

8) I take ages to get onto an escalator if its going down.....its actually rather embarassing and I tend to avoid them and take the stairs... I am weird!

9)  I did ballet and tap as a child

10) I love pizza but it has to have pineapple on it

11) I hate bitches and bullies

12) I don't like heights or being closed in

13) I worry a lot and over analyse everything

14) I don't drink much at all..I don't really like the taste of alcohol!  But I don't need a drink to enjoy myself and have a good time.

15) I have always had long hair since the age of about 5

16) I auditioned for Deal or No Deal

17) I am a scorpio

18)  I am very approachable and friendly.

19) I have been into Burger King/McDonalds before and ordered a burger and chucked the burger away and ate the bun.  I love the gherkin!!! ha ha

20) I am really fussy about perfume and there are not many perfumes I like. I love sweet smelling perfumes....Britany Spears Fantasy is my favourite perfume.

21)  A part of me would love to be a police officer

22) I have never been to Nando's!

23)  I love all types of music from classical to rock and everything in between but I hate Rap.

24)  I decided to run away from home when I was 14, I had the idea that I would sleep outside the police station in town as that would be safest ha ha. I got to the end of my road and rang my parents and they found me in the phone box ...embarassing!

25) I am really clumsy!

Select is one of those shops I sneakily venture into now and again as I remember years ago it was always seen as rather cheap and chavvy....probably still is ha ha!  Its like a cheaper version of New Look  (and thats pretty cheap!) BUT they do have some really nice things now and again.

Hiya

 

Hope you all had a lovely week and a fabulous Valentines Day.  I received these gorgeous flowers from my husband which were quite a surprise.

 

 

I popped into town yesterday to take a couple of things back and bought a couple of cute items

In Primark I bough this cushion for the bedroom...its really sweet and pretty.

In New Look I bought this floral longline vest, I love this its really springlike. 

and I also got these gorgeous earrings....I had to have these!

 

 

 

 

I also had my hair trimmed and a new sweeping fringe which I really love.

♥ Pastel Purchases ♥

Hello everyone

 

I am loving the pastel trend for this spring/summer as I am a pastels kind of girl so imagine my delight when I saw this Tokyo Doll Mint Skater dress....I need this in my life.♥

 

Today I made a sneaky little order and purchased it in a small/medium as I have every confidence I wll be small by the time I get around to wearing it.... ;)

I also made little order from Forever 21 and got this yellow Lace A-line Dress - perfect for my summer holidays

 

 

and I also ordered this floral brush set as I wanted some new make up brushes and this is so pretty.

 

 

 

 

We booked a holiday today so in July we will be flying off to Zante for a week.,,,so excited.

 

I think when I have lost my weight I will be buying myself a new bikini too... :)

Hello everyone

I have seen this tag on a few blogs so thought I would have a go!

1. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

I would love to have more confidence in myself.  Its funny people who meet me think I am very confident but thats probably a front.

 

2. If you could be anyone else for the day who would it be and why?

I would love to be someone who dedicates their life to stopping animal cruelty.  I admire people who can do this as I know I would just be so upset by it all.  I am extremely passionate about animal rights.

3. What's your favourite thing about blogging?

I love clothes and anything pretty and I love talking about clothes and anything pretty!  I think my favourite thing about blogging though is talking with other bloggers, inspiration from other blogs and receiving comments. :)

4. Who is your all time favourite band?

This is hard as there are so many.

5. What was the first gig you ever went to?

a-ha in the 80's.....it was amazing!  I have seen them 3 times now.

I still think Magne is pretty hot

 

6. What's been your favourite age to be and why?

Definitely my favourite age was between 27-32. 

7. What do you love to do in your spare time when you aren't blogging?

Shopping.....ha ha, being with friends, reading and listening to music,  I also love dance and zumba.
 

8. Who is your favourite blogger?

awww I could not possible say there are so many and for so many different reasons.

9. If you could be any type of animal which would you be?

An Elephant or Dolphin

 

10. What is the kindest thing that you have ever done for anyone else?

This is difficult as actually I think I have done lots of kind things but I cannot remember them.  I have helped old ladies across the road and given up my seat on a bus......its annoys me when younger people don't do this though :(

♥ Small haul - Primark, New Look & Boots ♥

Hiya everyone

I am hoping the problems with my comments are now fixed as it seems quite a few people were having issues accessing my blog. 

Yesterday I popped into town...I have not been in town for ages and had not been in Primark since before christmas which is a long time for me.

I had sort of fell out of love with Primark for a while as before christmas it was very disappointing and the prices have gone up a lot!

Firstly I purchased my favourite item these light tan cowboy boots...which were £18! Quite dear for Primark but I love them.  I love the fact they they are lighter tan so more spring like and they look great and are really comfy.  Plus they can be worn with bare legs and dresses when its a bit warmer and also with jeans/jeggings or tights when its colder.

I also purchased this pastel pink cardigan...I am loving the pastel trend as I am definitely a 'pastels girl'.

 

 

 

I got this Hello Kitty shorts and cami set in the sale for £3.00...cute and comfy!

 

In New Look I bought some denim treggings....love the colour of these.

 

 

Pencil skirt with fishtail...this is lovely for work (this is the back of the skirt)

 

Pink bows umbrella...my old one broke and this is just way tooo cute!

 

Also in Boots I had £12.00 worth of advantage points and I really wanted a new mascara.  I purchased the No7 Extreme Length Extend Mascara which normally retails at £12.95 but they have an offer on at the moment for £5.00 off. This cost £8.95 and you get the felt tip eyeliner pen for free.

I usually use No7 Lash Adapt Mascara but the £5 off definitely swayed me towards this one.  I used it today and its realy good it not too clumpy and makes your lashes look a lot longer but it is a buildable mascara....I like it.

A gorgeous dress via Ebay

Hiya

 

I have not been on Ebay for ages and I had forgot that you can get some great bargains on there.

 

I saw this dress and fell in love...I think you will agree its 'very me' ! 

 

This was brand new with tags and although it was only Primark I got this for a bargainous price.

 

It arrived today and its an absolutely stunning dress and I love it on me.  Its like a blush sort of colour and has gorgeous embroidered/lace front.  I ♥ this dress so much.
