Outfit post - White lace

Hiya

After such a hectic day at work Mike and I decided to go out for tea which was really nice and this is my outfit.

I love the scalloped edging on this dress.

Dress - New Look.  I had a bargain with this dress it was the only one there and it was originally £34.99 but I got it for just £5 as the zip was broken...I think that was the reason no one had bought it before!  I bought a new zip which cost £2.00 and did it myself so in total it cost me £7.00

Belt & Cardigan - Primark
Peach studded shoes - New Look

I have bought some lovely new items this week which I shall blog about at the weekend.

Take care

Sleep in rollers

Hello

I don't know if many of you have heard of the 'Sleep in rollers' they were made famous by the tv programme 'Desperate Scousewives', a programme I have never watched but have heard so much about.

The sleep in rollers are velcro soft rollers that you can wear to bed as they are comfy and not hard like original rollers.

You put them in slightly damp hair and go to bed and you are meant to awake with gorgeous bouncy glamorous volumised hair.

The official Sleep in rollers retail at £16.50, that is for 2 packs and includes the pink bag which is rather cute looking!  However I was browsing my local boots and saw these for only £4.99.

I bought some today and I am going to try them out at the weekend and will let you know the results.  The reviews on the Boots website are good so fingers crossed!

Have you ever tried these or the official Sleep in rollers?

Outfit post - In the meadow

Hello ladies

Today I have opted for another rather lazy day.  Mike has gone to help his brother move house I feel for him I mean moving furniture about in this weather is not great!

I don't know why but this 1st photo makes my tan look terrible but honestly its not that bad I can promise you if it looked this bad I would not be going out...ha ha

I popped down to Matalan and Next Clearance for a look around I ended up buying something in Next (its not a clothing item though) I am not that keen on Next clothing.  They had some gorgeous bikinis for 'dirt cheap' though and I was tempted to buy some but I am trying to restrain as to be honest I already have far too many bikinis!

Dress - Jasmine
Belt - New Look
Green leather wedges - Office

I love the ruffle collar on this dress and it was a bargain, It was orginally £30 reduced to £6.00 in the Jasmine concession sale at BHS! Bargain

Also this is the 1st time I have worn these wedges and I love them.  I bought them from Ebay and they were brand new and a fraction of the price they were selling them for in Office.

Have a lovely weekend

Outfit post - Ditsy & Denim

It was casual clothes day at work and as it was boiling I decided to wear my ittle H&M floral dress.

Denim Waistcoat - Primark
Ruffle frill dress - H&M
Pink Peep toes - Yumi

I am loving this gotgeous weather I just hope its stays a couple of months....wishful thinking!

I work in a lovely part of the city and its so nice to see everyone in the park today and some people were having a BBQ.

I thought I would leave you with one of my favourite songs it always reminds me of summer and holidays. I love the sound of the seagulls in this video.  Whenever I listen to the song I can picture being on the beach and being really happy.  I am a real beach babe I feel most relaxed when at the beach I can just smell the sea and hear the waves crashing...its so relaxing.

Have a lovely weekend ladies

Day 9 - Your Favourite pair of shoes

Hiya

Isn't the weather beautiful, its about time we had some nice weather..trouble is I am stuck in work!

Anyway onto my favourite shoes and I am going to cheat a bit as I am putting 3 pairs in different categories.

As you know I tend to buy lots of clothes but not expensive things as I personally like to have loads of different things to wear rather than spend a fortune on one item so therefore two of my favourite shoes are from New Look!  I absolutely love New Look especially for their shoes as they are always great value and great designs.

My favourite high heels are these gold sequin beauties, I have onlyt worn them once but I feel mega glam in them.

♥♥♥ High Heels ♥♥♥

♥♥♥ Flats ♥♥♥

My favourite flat shoes are my peach studded pumps, these are so pretty and when I wear them I cannot help staring at my feet when I am walking as they look so nice...ha ha!

♥♥♥ Mid heel sandals ♥♥♥

I totally love these tan leather sandals, they were in the sale from Office and a bargain at only £12.00

Some sale buys!

Hiya

Thank you for your comments on my previous post I had my chest x ray results back and all was ok...so thats great but I still have the swelling in my arm! weird

Last week I bought a few little items:

Firstly in Primark I bought this cardigan for a fiver in the sale.  Its like a peachy pink colour.

In New Look I bought these pink ballet pumps. Its weird until about 2-3 years ago I never ever wore flat shoes but now you cannot get me out of them. I am quite short so I always used to wear heels but I have embraced how short I am and I actually feel weird wearing heels now as I feel too tall...ha ha!
I have a similar pair to these in taupe from Topshop and I love them.  These are half the price of the Topshop ones though but are exactly the same!

Then on Ebay I got these Yumi pink peep toe snake effect shoes for £3.00 incluing postage.   I saw these in Clarks Village but they did not have my size.  I think the pink is stunning and it looks fabulous against denim. This is a stock photo as the photo I took was rubbish.

Yesterday Mike and I popped out and on the way back we popped into Asda.  They have a massive sale on at the moment as I happened to see this Hello Kitty T-shirt this was in the childrens secion and was age 12-13 years lol! It was £2.00 and I thought it would be nice to just wear to bed as I have some bottoms that match the colour.
Its really cute I wore it last night and its so comfy.

I also bought a bra in Asda for £3.00 in the sale just a cream lace push up style one...such a bargain

I have had such a busy week what with health scares and various other things so I am sooo tired.

I had the most strange comment from the bus driver last week.  One day I wore my Black Peter pan collar dress to work with tights and pumps and as it was a warm day so I had no jacket or coat on and the bus driver said he thought I was 'a little schoolgirl' when I got on the bus! ha ha.  I suppose thats a compliment really as it means I look younger.

Have a lovely weekend

A bit of a fright!

Hiya everyone

I have had a bad couple of days....on Monday I had a bit of a nightmare basically whilst at work I noticed my right arm was swelling up really badly and it was painful.  Luckily enough I had a doctors appointment after work about something else and I thought I would just mention it to the doctor expecting her to say it was nothing to worry about...how wrong was I!!

The doctor took one look at my arm and sent me for an urgent blood test and a D-dimer test, which is a blood test they do which can tell them if you have a blood clot within 10 minutes, however its not 100% accurate.
The mere mention of a possible blood clot made me feel bad enough as you hear stories about blood clots travelling to the heart, lungs or brain but nothing prepared me for how bad the nurse was that I saw!  She was a lovely lady but she was panicking terribly and kept saying how she had not not taken one of these tests in ages and was not sure what to do so she had to follow instructions from a sheet but she was still concerned she was not doing the test correctly.
She literally kept rushing around like a headless chicken and panicking!
By this time I was beginning to feel unwell as she made me more anxious and worried and she kept asking me if I was feeling ok whilst looking at me with a worried expression and asking me if I had pains in my chest, which by now I did have as she was stressing me out!
Anyway she did the test and it turned out negative but she was still not convinced and proceeded to doubt herself in front of me asking ME if I thought she had done the test right!!!! Then she started asking other nurses and rushing in and out of the treatment room!   Eventually she consulted the doctor that I had seen and she agreed that the test was negative but as this test is not 100% accurate they had to also send a normal blood test to the blood testing centre to get checked and the doctor told me to be aware in case I received a telephone call that night so I hardly slept still worrying I may have a blood clot.
In the meantime the doctor had told me that even if they did not call me I must go to the hospital first thing Tuesday morning for a chest X-ray.

I went to the hospital for the x-ray  the next day so now I am just awaiting the results.

I don't honestly think there is anything to worry about but my arm is still swollen!!!

On the plus side I was told by the bus driver today that he thought I was 'a little schoolgirl' which I thought was quite a compliment at my age.   I was wearing a peter pan collar dress, tights and pumps!

Anyway onto fashion things, I received the H&M brochure today that I get sent every so often and I saw these trousers and fell in love.

I have nothing like these in my wardrobe.  I totally love the colour and fit of these trousers but they are sold out online!!!

I wondered if they would suit me anyway they look gorgeous on the model.  I love them worn with the longline t-shirt.

They are so summery.

Take care

Summer buys & playsuit pics.

Good afternoon ladies

Sorry for my post yesterday and thankyou for all your lovely comments you really do cheer me up.  I really appreciate all your comments.

Last week I bought a few little items for summer

I bought this ditsy print playsuit in H&M and I really love this.  When I have lost a bit of weight its going to look better I think. I bought the size 12 but I think even when I have lost weight the size 12 will look better.  I was feeling more brave today!

Also in H&M I bought this peach t-shirt dress.  It does not look much on the hanger but its such a nice little dress.  It was only £7.99 and I thought even just for wearing over a bikini on holiday its really cute.  Its also nice worn with jeggings plus I could even wear it as a night dress! ha ha

I don't know if many of you have heard of a website called Everything5pounds.com.  They literally sell everythign at £5.00...the clue is in the name ha ha. I first saw it on Charlotte's blog  http://charlotelizabeth.blogspot.co.uk/ and thought I would have a look.  If you 'Like' it on facebook they tell you the day before whats going to be in the new arrivals the next day as the 'good' items tend to sell out quickly.  They do sell a lot of 'not so good stuff' but also have some little gems!

Anyway I ordered this dress and I am so glad I did its really cute and girly.

I love the little lace edging and the lace and embroidered top part.

Well worth a fiver. I am going to keep a check on this website.

Outfit of the day (bank holiday Monday)

Hello

I do have quite a few posts lined up but its getting the time to do them all plus I have been poorly the last few days.

I am still doing my challenge and day 7 will be coming up shortly.

Being honest I am feeling rather low again and feel like a 'right state' at the moment!  As you know earlier this year I decided to cut down by eating 1200 calories a day I was doing so well and after 4 weeks had lost some weight and was feeling much better.  However something happened and my willpower went and now I am back to probably how I was before!  Today I stated again and this time I am certain I am going to stick with it.  I have 5 weeks until the girls weekend away so thats a big incentive for me. I am not going to lie I found this post hard today as I feel I look like a beached whale...no offence to whales they are beautiful creatures but I don't wish to look like one! Anyway I have rather forced myself to do this post as I was bored of haul posts.  I actually bought a playsuit last week...ha ha although when I will wear it I don't know.  I actually really like it and I do think it suits me its just I am having a bit of a crisis of confidence. When I feel more me I may post a photo of me wearing it! I will post about a few buys I have made sometime over the weekend.

Anyway this outfit was wore last Monday

Dress - Miso at Republic
Leggings - Awear
Coral studded pumps - New Look
Tan Belt - H&M
Cardigan - Primark

I totally love these pumps they are so pretty and I love the colour.
Taken prior to me taking the label off!!!! ha ha

Sorry to be so miserable I am sure you really don't want to hear me moaning and I know there are a lot of people worse off than me and I should pull myself out of it but its really not that easy.  Mike and my friends all say I am way too hard on myself and that they don't see the imperfections I see but I suppose we are our own worse judge!

Have a lovely weekend everyone

Fabulous Finds via Ebay

Hiya everyone

I just wanted to show you my latest Ebay finds.

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Ebay I think its great for buyers as you can great some great bargains however I think their fees are really high for sellers.

I don't know if you will remember but last year I found this Primark peach lace dress in a charity shop but I knew they did a cream version and really wanted that one too.

I managed to buy it on Ebay last week. Its really pretty and it cost me about £5 including postage.

Then last Sunday I was browsing Ebay and came across this Miss Selfridge dress.  I actually had this dress but it got torn so I had to chuck it out.  I was so sad to see it go as I adored its so as you can imagine I was so glad to find it.

I love everything about it the fit, the style and I am obsessed with Broderie Anglais.  I literally like anything with Broderie Anglais.

I got this for £1.04 plus £2.00 postage.

Also I won this New Look top which is brand new with tags for 99p.  It fits so nice I love it and its like a nude pink colour.

I am so looking forward to wearing both these dresses. I just wish we had some nice warm weather! Although I could also wear them with thick tights too.  I am going to wear the top with leggings/jeggings.

Yumi purchases

Hello ladies

Following on from my previous post I mentioned that I took my mum to Clarks Village last week.

For anyone who has never been there Clarks Village its one of those discount retail outlets.  Take a look at their website here http://www.clarksvillage.co.uk/ .  The only thing that I don't like about Clarks is that there isn't a decent restaurant so mum and I went to the pub that Mike and I go to across the road on the main high street.  Its a really olde style pub and they do lovely food like 2 main meals for £10.00.  Also their desserts are just scrumptious.  They had chocolate bread and butter pudding, chocolate melt in the middle pudding but I plumped for the trio of mini puddings which mum and I shared...I am a sucker for a hot pudding and custard!

I noticed that they are opening a Frankie and Bennys and a Prezzo in July.
To be honest there are not that many shops that I really shop in at Clarks but its worth going just to stroll around and I find it really relaxing there unlike usual shopping centres.  I also love going there for the Yumi shop as I totally love Yumi dresses and accessories and the Fiorelli shop which sells Fiorelli and Nica bags and lower priced than in the normal stores.  I also like The Body Shop and the homeware shops.  They used to have a La Senza which was brilliant as they sold a lot of the bras for £5.00 each and being big chested thats such a good price for a bra, unfortunately the La Senza has now closed down.

In Yumi I tried quite a few dresses on there was so much to choose from and some totally beautiful dresses.

This was the 1st dress I bought and its so beautiful and figure flattering.  I love the material as its really thick and good quality.  They also had this in Coral but the Navy blue was just so classy and really suited me.  Even the sales assistant in the shop commented on how much it suited me, I know they probably say that to anyone to get them to buy it but it did look really nice.

This was £40.00 reduced to £15.99.

On the sale rale I picked up this dress as it really stood out to me as someting different for what I usually go for and they only had two left a small and a large.  The small fitted perfectly and I love the mint and cream look as it reminds me of 'candy'.  This fits lovely, its like a stretchy knitted dress.  I love the buttons on the front as its like a pinafore style.  This was £48.00 reduced to £12.00.  I would never pay £48.00 for it but its totally lovely on and well worth £12.00.

.

I also bought these bow slides in Monsoon/Accessorize these were £1.50 and are super cute.

Have you ever been to Clarks?

What do you think of the dresses and Yumi?

New shoes & buys from Cardiff

Hiya

Once again sorry for the lack of posts but I have had a really busy week.  I will be trying to blog more often from now on though.

My mum came down last week and on Wednesday we went to Cardiff, it  was really lucky as the weather was really nice that day unlike Tuesday where we had torrential rain all day.

Cardiff is only 40 mins away by train so its really handy to get to.  I really love shopping there as although it has a very big shopping area all the shops are close together.

We only spent a few hours there and we had lunch in Browns which was gorgeous.

I was rather disappointed this time as there was not much I liked but I supposed it saved me money for when we went to Clarks Village on Thursday!

In New Look I bought these peach studded pumps and I totally love these shoes they look really pretty and they are different from any other shoes I have.  I have a friend who works for New Look and she gave me some 25% off discount vouchers which I can use throughout May and June....yipee!

In Primark I got these floral pumps for £6.00

I also got these PJ's in the sale for £3.00

I love the little heart buttons

Also in my local Peacocks I got this hair band in the sale for £1.25 and the pink and cream floral clips were £2.50.
These are so summery.

On Thursday my mum and I went to Clarks Village and I went into my favourite shop...Yumi!  I will post about my buys in the week.

Take care and have a lovely bank holiday weekend
