March haul - Primark, H&M & George

Hello everyone

I am back with another big haul!

This haul mainly consists of tops among a few other things and these items have been purchased over the past few weeks!

Firstly in Primark I purchased a few basics.

I purchased these two cardigans in like a blush peachy pink and an ivory colour for £4.90 each in Primark.  I don't know what's wrong with Primark sizing lately but I had to get a size 6 in these where as I am more of an 8-10!  I love these cardi's though as they are really stretchy and  soft.

Two basic vest tops in nude and white.

Cute daisy print vest

I love Primark homeware I think the homeware is better than the clothing.   I love this floral hand towel.

Love these little peep toe lazer cut sandals

I have been really disappointed with Primark dresses lately they seem really poor quality and I am not keen on the patterns/prints!

Anyway onto H&M where I purchased the following:

I do love how H&M always seem to do nice tops and at a really reasonable price.  I love this peach burnout lace effect top, its so lovely on and it looks really nice with skinny jeans or I may wear it to work with a skirt.

This cute little floral vest top I thought was just so nice especially with jeggings or shorts when its warmer.

Mauve lace top t-shirt

I also bought this cardigan it was only £7.99. I used the stock photo as the photo I took does not show how pretty this cardigan is.  Its such a great thin cardi to throw on when you just want a bit of cover.  I have a dress very similar to the one she is wearing in this photo too and it would go so nice with this cardigan!

Also I saw this pretty make up bag by the till :)

Then onto George in Asda where I purchased these cute little floral pumps in the sale for £3.00.  I wore these today and they are so comfy and look so sweet.

I also loved these mugs in Asda so bought a couple.

I did also purchase a couple of dresses but I will put these in a seperate post.  Also look out for a couple of fake tan reviews and an ebay bargain!

Have you been buying much lately?

Take care

NOTD - Bourjois So Laque Glossy in Peach and Love

 Hello everyone

I managed to pick up the Bourjois So Laque Glossy varnish in Peach and Love for only £2.50 last week.  I thought for that price it was worth a try!

I think its a really summery colour and its very pretty but I find its very runny.  These photos are taken after I applied two coats.

This is ok,  I think its pretty enough but the consistency is not very good and its a bit cheaper looking than my Number 1 polish which is Maybelline Nude Rose.   Plus it chips really easily and only lasts 1 or 2 days which I really hate as I like a polish that lasts a bit longer.

Have you tried this varnish?  What's your opinons?

♥ New 'Poppy Lux' Dress ♥

Hello everyone

Poppy Lux are a Brighton based fashion label that I have seen on many fashion websites. Sugarhill Boutique sell Poppy Lux here -   http://www.sugarhillboutique.com  also Joy, New Look and Dorothy Perkins are selling this brand now. As soon as I saw this dress online I had to order it!   I am a sucker for florals anyway but this dress is absolutely perfect. It was £39 which is dearer but the quality and fit is second to none.  I ordered the size 10 and it fits really nicely, like a slightly a-line fitted dress and its a lovely material plus its fully lined.  I also love the fact that its not really short its just above the knee on me.

I really adore this dress and cannot wait to wear it.

Have you ever purchased anything from Poppy Lux?

Take care

Outfit Post - Lace & Crochet!

Hiya everyone

MIke and I went out for lunch today...only to Pizza Hut but you got to love 'The Hut'!

This was my outfit

I adore this creamy white crochet dress its from G21 at Adsa...when I first bought it a few years ago it was skintight and I could only wear it with leggings as it was so short, however since losing weight I can now wear this as a dress in summer with bare legs as its a lot longer.

Belt - this is my trusty Horse clasp belt from Primark...I wear this belt so much with various outfits!

The beige boots are from H&M

The faux leather jacket is also from G21 at Asda

The handhag is fron New Look.  I bought it this time last year and I love this bag so so much!

Have a lovely weekend

Small Beauty and Clothing Haul ♥

Hiya everyone

Last Friday I had an afternoon off work and thought I would have a wander around the shops.  The kids were still of school so it was pretty packed everywhere...I don't think I chose the right time.

I have a gift card from New Look that I have had since Christmas and it has quite a lot on it.  I spent some of this but still have about £80 left!

I managed to purchase this pretty 'Kelly Brook' bikini in the sales which was reduced to £10. Even though I have lost a lot of weight and down to a size 8-10 I still have a large chest!!  I love Kelly Brook bikinis as they cater for ladies over a DD cup.

I also got these New Look Indigo Jeggings, I love these I managed to get them in a size 8 and a 30 inch leg.  My old jeggings are literally rolling down now and I find them really baggy on the ankles.

In Primark I bougth the lazer cut top that I  purchased in red but in white.

Also this peach pink lace trim top

hair bands - very Cath Kidston :)

I also popped into Boots and had a little spree.

I wanted some fake tan, to be honest I am tanned all year around and in winter I tend to use a cheaper tan just because I don't show as much flesh.  In summer I prefer to stick to Sienna X spray tans or I buy Sienna X...I love that stuff.   I also love Sally Hansen, which I did purchase another bottle.  I usually buy the Tan Glow but thought I would try the Medium Glow.

I think the Airbrush Legs are foolproof and it looks amazing on your legs!

I also noticed the L'Oreal Sublime Dark Tanning Gel and thought I would give it a try.  This was £12.99, not expensive for fake tan but not one of the cheaper ones either.  I will be doing a review of this very soon!

I also wanted a new mascara and was going to try one of these Maybelline mascara's

however I ended up purchasing the 17 Doll'd Up Mascara and I have to say this is by far the best mascara I have ever used.  I cannot praise this mascara enough!

stock photo as I accidentally deleted the photo I took of it!!

I also ordered a gorgeous dress online which I shall tell you about in a seperate post.

Take care

Charity Shop Finds

Hiya everyone

Last week I thought I would pop into my local charity shops.   I love having a mooch around charity shops and we have some really good ones not far from us!   One of them is fabulous they always have a lot of ASOS, Zara, Oasis and New Look items.

They had loads of stuff this particular day however some of the items were a tad overpriced for second hand!  For instance they had a Zara jumper which was £12.00!! It was not even in really great condition so I thought it was way overpriced.

I managed to bag a couple of good bargains, I got this AX Paris Daisy Print Navy dress with cut out detail.  I love this dress.

I also got this navy Espirit top, I rhought this would be lovely for summer with a navy skirt for work, I love the ruffle sleeves and the fit is really nice.

I also got this brand new with tags fake fur collar which was reduced to £1.50.

Anyway I have a half day in work tomorrow and then I am going to have a couple of hours of retail therapy.  I think a trip to Primark is in store!

Have a lovely weekend

Outfit post - New ASOS/Yumi Dress

Hiya everyone

Just a quick outfit post from me today to show you my new Yumi dress courtesy of the ASOS sale.

This was £55 reduced to £12.00 which I thought was a bargain.  I would not have paid £55 for it I mean its nice but I am not keen on the shiny lining which I think makes it look cheaper.  Plus this is a size 10 but looks too large around the hips and tummy for me, however it fits nice on the bust.

I think its very pretty though although not as flattering as other dresses I have!  I wore it with my lovely cream cardigan from Forever 21.  I really love this cardi the material is so soft and I love the feel and the colour.  I also wore my tan bow belt...this belt gets used so much!

I wore my Next Suede cowboy boots which were a sale bargain from a couple of years ago.

I popped out today and I got a couple of lovely bargains in a local charity shop....look out for these in my next post.

Take care

Outfit post - Cami Dress!

Hiya everyone

I just thought I would do a quick outfit post

Its Saturday again, oh how I love the weekends.  I like to treat myself at the weekend as I think well I work hard all week so why not!  Mike and I went out for lunch to Pizza Hut today yummy

I decided as today was not so cold I thought I would do away with wearing tights/boots so decided to wear ballet pumps and leggings instead with my faux leather jacket, instead of a heavy coat.
I love these heavy leggings from H&M they are so thick and feel really nice and comfy too.

Faux Leather Jacket - G21 at Asda
Ditsy Cami Dress - H&M
Pink Cardigan - New Look
Heavy Leggings _ H&M
Nude Ballet Pumps - Topshop
Pink handbag - Forelli

I also decided to take my pink Fiorelli ruffle bag.   I totally adore this bag it was a gorgeous birthday present from a friend a couple of years ago...she knows me so well!

Please ignore the horrible green wallpaper in the background, this is one of our spare rooms that we have not got around to decorating yet.  We call it the 'junk room' but soon to be 'Lisa's Dressing Room'.  Its literally has 2 single beds in it and I keep the ironing board and all my shoes in it.  We are going to be decorating it this year and I want to make it into my own dressing room.   I saw this wallpaper at B&Q and was thinking I would like this as a feature wall and then the other walls cream.  I am going to be making it very shabby chic!

Anyway have a lovely weekend

♥♥♥ Haul and an outfit post ♥♥♥

Hiya everyone

As a self confessed shopaholic you would expect I go shopping a lot!  Well I must admit I feel I have not been shopping in ages I mean like a proper shopping session.  Last weekend I met up with a friend I have not seen since before christmas and we went shopping :)
We had such a fab day including a free meal at Chiquitos!!  To cut a long story short we had a lovely meal (they even have a gluten free menu now) anyway when I ordered desert they bought out my ice cream in like a pastry basket (hard to explain and I am not sure what its called)  I was unsure if the 'basket'  looking thing was gluten free (usually I would ask but all the waitresses had disappeared and I had ordered it from the GF menu.  However as I was unsure I thought I would just eat the ice cream but not the 'basket'  thing...whatever it was!  After I finished eating we asked for the bill and the manager came over knelt down very quietly by our table and asked if I had eaten any of the 'basket'...I said no but there had been a couple of bits in the ice cream.. She was very red faced and was sincerely apologetic, she said I should not have been given it and therefore we had no bill!!  It was great we did not have to pay but I do think that oversight could have been costly to someone if they had eaten it. I could have been quite ill!

Anyway drama over we then went shopping which was fun.  I did buy quite a few things which was surprising as I has been moaning how rubbish the high street is at the moment...!

Firstly in New Look I bought this white shirt dress, I have wanted a plain white shirt dress for a while and it looks like shirt dresses are going to be big this spring/summer.  I thought it would look lovely with denim jeggings and pretty ballet pumps or sandals.

Then in H&M I purchased this pretty floral dress.   I love the pink floral print and it was only £12.99

I wore this dress today I am so chuffed that I can get into a size 10 in H&M especially as this has no stretch at all and I find their clothing is always on the small side.

The belt is from Primark and boots are from H&M.  I did wear it with a longline pink cardi when I went out as it was so cold...

I also purchased this laced sleeved blouse in the sale.  This was reduced to £10.00.  I find H&M sizing so weird most of their items are on the small side but this blouse is in fact a size 6!!! I mean I am a 10 with a large chest so this is in no way a proper size 6!

I love this blouse though I adore the lace sleeves.

I also got some of the Heavy Leggings which are slightly dearer than the thinner onesl  I really like these as I hate leggings that are so thin they are like opaque tights! These have a great quality look and feel to them.

Then in Accessorize I purchased this pretty pink purse.  I really love Accessorize purses they always look nice quality.  This was £5.00.  I love the little pocket on the front which you can store cards in.

This belt also from Accessorize was £8.00 reduced to £2.40,  I admit I have quite a few tan skinny belts but the quality of this one is 100 times better.

Then in Dorothy Perkins I could not resist this pretty little crochet hem top.  This too is a size 6!!!

In Topshop another shop I rarely go into unless its to look at the sale or if there is something specific I want.  I saw these cute little pink flat shoes for £7.00 in the sale.  I am a size 4 but these are size 3 they seem to fit really well.  These will be so cute for summer.

Finally Primark was pretty rubbish but I was so lucky to find this little cute laser cut top.  I really love it and i was only £5.00. I really wanted it in pink or white/cream too but all they had was this gorgeous red and a horrible sick yellow colour!

I have not had a very good week this week really I won't go into details but on the plus side I got on the scales this morning and I was another 2lb lighter.  I am now the lowest weight I have been for about 10 years...still want to lose more though!

Have a lovely weekend

Take care
