OOTN - last night

Mike and I went out for a meal last night with my friend and her boyfriend, its really great as the two guys get on so well so it always makes for a great night.

This was my outfit:

Fit & Flare Dress - Topshop
Black Shrug - New Look
Gold Belt - Primark
Gold Sequin shoes - New Look

I will let you into a little secret, usually when I go on a night out I feel I look awful but last night I actually felt nice for the first time in ages.  I have been on a calorie controlled diet for the past 2 weeks and I have lost 2lb in the 1st week and a 1lb in the second week. Its going to be slow going but my aim is to loose a 1lb a week that way I should keep it off.
My diet is basic and easy to follow, basically I eat no more than 1200 calories a day.  It seems low but its achievable and I can still have little treats as long as they are under or around 100 calories and I don't go over 1200 a day. Plus I don't feel hungry and don't feel the need to be eating 24/7 like I used to be!

I would be interested to know if anyone has done this diet and how they found it.

I want to lost about 18lb by the end of May as I am going to Devon with two girlie friends in June and want to look really slim plus I have felt uncomfortable at the weight I was for far too long and finally had to do something about it.

Pretty Broderie Anglais

I love the fact that the spring items are coming into stock now, I love all the lace, corals, peaches, creams and mint green that seems to be in abundance.  Its so nice to go from gloom to sun and bright colours.

I was browsing ASOS last night and came across this
cute little broderie anglais top which was reduced to £8.00. I am a huge fan of broderie anglais its so feminine and pretty, it reminds me of summer.
I am not going to wear it how the model is wearing it though I was thinking of wearing it as little bolero/cropped cardi over dresses.   Do you think that could work??

Mike and I are going out tonight for a meal with friends and I was going to buy the Mango lace dress but they did not have it my local store and it was a bit too late to order it plus I thought do I really want to spend £45 on a dress when I do have loads of dresses in my wardrobe I hardly wear.

Therefore I decided I am going to wear either my topshop black skater dress or a dress I have had for about 7 years from River Island.  Its a cute babydoll style dress which I am goint to wear with a black shrug.

Also I popped into New Look on my lunch break last week and noticed they had their earrings and hair accessories as buy one get one free so I bought these gorgeous gold earrings.  The photo does not do them justice and the photos I took of them are rubbish. They are gorgeous and sparkly.

and got these pretty ones free

I plan to wear the 1st pair tonight with the outfit above and my gold sequin heels.

Have a nice weekend

To be honest I did not really want to buy either but I have fell in love with the Mango one.

What's a girl to do????

I will have to have a think about it.

Travel in style

Hiya

On Friday I had the day off work and my friend and I travelled to Cardiff for the day.

I was rather worried as I awoke to snow and was really hoping that the trains would be running and that the weather would be ok in Cardiff.  Luckily public transport was fine Cardiff had no snow..not in the city centre anywayl!

We had a really nice day we had lunch at Browns and did a spot of shopping.  It was absolutely freezing though and I was glad I wore my cream fake fur jacket.

I only bought a few things in Primark, New Look ,Peacocks & H&M we did not have lot of time to go in many other shops.  It was just so nice to catch up though.

I will post about what I bought later in the week but I just wanted to show you my new holdall/travel bag I bought from Primark for a bargainous £12.00.

This will be ideal for my weekend with the girls and in general when we go on holiday or weekends away.

I love the design with the pretty bows plus I am not a girl that travels light so the fact that it has wheels what a big plus for me as I always struggle with carrying holdall/cases.

I love the fact the handle is inside the little zipped compartment....how cute!

I think this is a bargain and I cannot wait to use it now.

Charity shop buy

Hiya

Last Monday I had the day off and in my previous post mentioned I had a look around a few local charity shops.

I saw this skater style dress which was in H&M last summer and I never got around to buying it.

I got it for £2.99 and its like brand new.

I also bought the Topshop Sunshower crayon which I love its really shimmery and really opens your eyes.

Also would anyone know of any nice places to eat in Cardiff?  Places like Coal Grill and Bar or Zizzi's anywhere similiar to these...that are really close to the shops as well...???  Thanks

Reading time

I have all these books to read and not much time to read them in with working full time!! I think my weekends are going to be spent reading for a while.  I think sitting down with a good book for half an hour is such a great way to relax.

Anyway how cute is this I bought it on Saturday at Asda.  I am a list person, I have to write lists for everything and I tick them off one by one...how sad am!!  This will look cute in my handbag.

I had the day off work today and thought I would have a look in a few local charity shops.  I found a dress which I will post about later in the week.  It was a dress I wanted last year in H&M but never managed to get it as was sold out so I was quite pleased.

Also I am healthy eating I have truly got my mojo back and my discipline.  I have been eating really well I have surprised myself.  I will look fab in a bikini by July...I will I will!

Primark Accessories and nightwear

Oh its so chilly today we have 2 inches of snow on the ground.  I do love snow there is something romantic about it although I know its a pain when you have to go to work in it!!

The other day I manged to find some pretty accessories and nightwear in Primark.

Firstly this pretty floral purse.

I also love the pink lining and its very roomy.

In the nightwear section they had a lot of the seperates for £1.00 each but you had to rummage through to find the good things as it was a mess and there was a lot of rubbish!

Never one to give up on getting a good bargain I managed to find these shorts at the bottom of the pile for £1.00 and I also bought this pink vest top for £3.00, the vest top was new in and it matched perfectly.

Then I managed to find these shorts for a £1.00 and the red top matched perfectly for another £1.00. The top was the 'soft feel' material and its so comfy.

These will be ideal nightwear or lounging around the house in spring/summer...its a bit too cold to wear them at the moment I think thermals are more the order of the day!

These slippers were £6.00 reduced to £3.00.

The umbrella was £4.00 I love the pretty floral print and of course the pink hook handle!  Plus I broke my umbrella the other day so needed a new one.

I only have 3 days in work next week...yippee!  I have Monday off and I am just having a lazy day and I have Friday off and going to Cardiff with a friend.

Have a nice weekend
