Not just ONE but TWO Coats!

Hello

In the past week I have bought two coats....eek!

They were not very expensive so really added together they were the price of one coat, does not sound so bad eh!

Both coats were from BHS!!! Yes you heard right BHS a shop I always hated as I thought it was frumpy and past it however I was surprised how nice some of the items are online and they seen to have gotten a bit younger and modern.  A year or so ago I bought some gorgeous sand suede look ankle boots in BHS which looked a like ones in Mango or Zara for a fraction of the price.

The first coat is this luxurious cream belted coat which was £60.00 but I got 20% off and next day delivery for only a £1.00.  Its safe to say I love this coat it's really glamorous and classy looking.  The material is lovely and the colour is gorgeous.

the second coat is a Cream/Stone Pea Coat which was £35.00 but looks a lot more expensive.  The material of this is really nice but probably not quite as nice as the first one...hence the price difference.  Its more of a stone/cream colour and as I am only short both these coats look nice on me and are really flattering and they don't seem to totally drown me like I find with a lot of coats.

I will definitely be checking out BHS again.

Forever 21 Birmingham haul :)

Hiya everyone

A few weeks ago a friend and I went to Birmingham for the weekend, it was packed beyond anything I have seen before.  The christmas market so was busy you could not even get to it.

I bought a few items and most of them were in my favourite store...Forever 21

Firstly I had a fabulous bargain in there and bought these tan chestnut coloured boots which were reduced to £11 from nearly £30!

Ditsy floral tea dress,  this is gorgoeus I love the long sleeves and it has a lace up bit at the back.  I love the pretty print too and its really flattering.

Bunches of flowers Skater Dress, this was only a bargainous £7.50 and it looks lovely. Mike and I went to Bath yesterday and I  wore this with my tan bow belt and the Forever 21 boots above and I loved this outfit.  I wish I had taken a photo for an outfit post! :(

They had this in blue as well and I so wish I had bought that one too!

Pink cardigan - this is a pretty basic cardigan but again this was only £11. and I love the colour and it goes with lots on my wardrobe.

When I saw these items of jewellery I had to have them, I love daisies and these are mega cute earrings and so pretty, they especially stand out with dark hair.  The pink heart necklace is lovely and I love the floral design.

Peach lounge top - This matches with my peach spotty pyjama bottoms from George at Asda. I cannot believe this was only £5 something as the material so so soft and expensive looking.

Also in H&M I purchased a little black skater type skirt,  I have been wearing it to work with fitted jumpers and its so nice.

I love Forever 21 so much its definitely my favourite store I just wish they had one in Bristol.  I think its the same sort of price as Primark but a million zillion times better.

Take care

Bag love

Hiya

Well with Christmas coming Mike usually tends to ask me what I would like for christmas and then gets a couple of things I ask for with maybe a few surprises. I would rather have surprises and I am lucky in the fact that Mike does tend to buy me things I like.

This year there is not much I really want except maybe perfume as I don't tend to buy that myself and I am usually given it as a gift.  However I have seen this bag from Fiorelli that I am in love with.

I tend to usually get money off my family so if Mike does not get it then I may buy it with money I am given.  Its such a gorgeous bag and so me! :)

To be honest all I really want for christmas is for my dad to be healthy and for Mike and my family to be happy and healthy but I think deep down that's really what all of us wish for at Christmas.

What's on your wishlist?

New nightwear

Hiya

I am a really bad blogger so please bear with me but I am getting around to trying to do more posts...eek!

I have my Birmingham haul to do from 2 weeks ago and I must try and do some outfit posts.

I admit I do like nightwear thats pretty and lacy in the summer but when winter comes Mike has to put up with me wearing my cosy warm nightwear...not the sexiest of things I know but I like to keep warm.

I really wanted some new nightwear for winter and bought a few items the other day.

Firstly I saw this gorgeous nightdress in H&M and had to have it.  Its cream with red bows on and its so comfy. Its knee length on me and its stretchy so fits really well and retains its shape

Then in Asda I bought these peach fleece pj bottoms with polka dots on, I love these!

and to go with that I bought this lounge top in Forever 21.  This is so nice and it was only £6.00

Thanks for reading and I am going to try and do more posts.

Torquay Treats

Hiya

Well its been a while....I went away last weekend to Birmingham with a friend, we had a really great time.  I bought quite a few things but will have to blog about this in another post  as I am quite behind with my posts.

Its hard to believe we were in Torquay just over 2 weeks ago as as it seems like months!  Its also weird to think its christmas in 4 weeks! eek  I must really start my Christmas shopping.  I have bought a couple of things but still have a way to go!

Whilst we were in Torquay one day we had a look around the shops and I purchased a few little treats.

It was the Debenhams 25% off week so I bought a couple of christmas presents and Mike bought me a Cream knitted style dress from the Pussycat range in Debenhams.

I don't think these photos do this dress justice.  Its really soft and warm, its like a brushed cotton material,

I also got two lovely bras from the Gorgeous range at Debenhams.,

In H&m I purchased this floral dress which I really love,  its very short but ts really flattering and a-line style.  Perfect for wearing with a chunky knit cardigan.

In New Look I purchased these gold glitter shoes, they are not as high as the usual sky scrapers around but just a nice height and look gorgeous on.  I wore these on Saturday night in Birmingham, :)

Also in New Look I got this bird print crochet dress, you cannot beat bird print. :)

Anyway thats all for now.  I have got my Birmingham haul post coming up soon.

I am also going to be doing a giveaway very soon its just I have not got around to getting everything as yet!

Take care

Home Sweet Home - purchases

Hello everyone

Well I am back from our fabulous week in Torquay, we had such a great time.  I really don't want to go back to work next week though :(.   Still I have next weekend to look forward to as I am going away with a friend to Birmingham for the weekend.  Plus 5 weeks today we are off to Blackpool to spend Christmas with my family this year.

Before we went away I bought a few new things for the home

I was in my new favourite shop, TK Maxx and stumbled upon this.....I instantly knew this would look gorgeous in our bedroom as I have the 'shabby chic' theme going on :)

I also really wanted a nice little chest of drawers and something that would fit right in with the room.  I have had my eye on the Toulouse bedroom furniture at Dunelm Mill and decided to order the 3 drawer chest.  Its perfect for what I want plus it comes ready assembled...I hate flat pack furniture!  It looks so gorgeous in our room and looks really expensive and nice quality.
.

Then in Tesco Homeplus I purchased these cake tins, the smaller one I am using as a biscuit tin...they are so pretty.

and I also pickedup this dvd looking forward to watching this

Plus I bought a vanilla Yankee Candle...they smell delicious.

Take care

Birthday Girl

Hello everyone

Its finally the weekend and I have a whole week off work...yay :)

Its my birthday tomorrow and we are also off to Devon tomorrow as well to stay in a nice hotel and be pampered for a few days.
I really need this at the moment I have been so stressed out of late with my father being ill and now my mother may have health problems too.  Its a worrying time so I need a bit of de-stressing.

When I come back I am in work for a week then I am going to Birmingham with a close friend for the weekend.  So at least I have that to look forward to as well.

I purchased these lovely boots from Asda in the week, they are really nice.  Asda do sell some lovely items and at low prices.

Also thank you for all your comments on my previous post I think Gold is the way to go then. I realised that I have this cream and gold Julien Macdonald Clutch bag that a friend bought me which will save me buying a gold bag and it matches the dress perfectly!

I am not going to be wearing tights just a bit of Sally Hansen Airbrush legs as the dress is not miniscule so therefore not too short.  I also have these gold studded heels but to be honest not sure they look right with the outfit so I really want some closed toe sparkly gold shoes so may have a look around for some anyway.  I saw some gorgeous ones in Dorothy Perkins with quite a low price tag :)

Well thats all for now but I will be back after my birthday/Devon.

Have a lovely weekend

Please help me style this dress

Hello

I am going on a night out in a few weeks and I saw this dress in Select of all shops.  I think its really classy looking.  It actually looks a lot nicer on as its very figure fitting.  The dress is plain black with cream crochet which has a tiny bit of gold detailing in.  Sorry the photo is not that big and if I make it bigger it goes rather blurry :(

I was thinking of styling it with gold sparkly shoes and a gold oversized clutch bag and maybe a gold necklace but then I was thinking I do tend to wear nude/tan shoes and thought maybe I should try something more daring like red heels and a red bag?

What do you think?

I don't want to spend a lot though as I don't go out that much so won't wear the shoes much, that's why I thought gold would be ideal as I could wear them to christmas parties etc.

I would love to hear your thoughts?

A little bird told me.....

that I had to have these earrings when I saw them in a cute little dress shop in town.  At only £2.50 they were a must!

I am loving all things animal,  I love all the cat, fox and squirrel things around at the moment.  While Mike and I was in Asda at the weekend I saw these cute little nightshorts with ginger cats all over.

I went off to look at something and Mike went and bought them for me.  I bought a cute little burgundy vest top in the nightwear section of Primark to match for only £2.50 and its probably one of my favourite nightwear sets.

Are you loving animals designs around at the moment?

Swindon Haul - TK Maxx, New Look, Primark and Peacocks

Hiya everyone :)

Last weekend I had Friday off work and I went to Swindon to stay with my closest friend for the night.  She booked us in for a Spa afternoon which was fab and afterwards we went back to her house got dolled up and headed out to an italian restaurant for some lovely food.  We decided at the last minute to go to the cinema after and ended up watching Sunshine on Leith...I really loved this film.

Then on Saturday after my friend cooked a lovely breakfast we headed into town to do enjoy some retail therapy.  My friend said she would not be spending a lot...however whenever she goes shopping with me she always spends loads...must be my bad influence!!

I spent around £100, which is  a lot for me in one shopping trip but oh well I work for my money.

Firstly my most favourite buy for a really long time were these Taupe Suede Leather boots from TK Maxx. they wee £49.99 but they fit and look fabulous.  They were originally £82 and they are just worth every penny of almost £50.  I love how they fit on my legs too they just fit perfectly and are not too wide on the calf like a lot of boots.  I love these so much!

In New Look I made a rather impromptu buy and purchased this quilted jacket.  I have to admit I am rather put off by these jackets for the simple reason that everyone is wearing them, however this one is a really nice fit.  Its very flattering.  I am still not 100% though so I may take it back as its a waste of money if you are not 100% sure! Plus they do remind me of Puffa jackets which I absolutely hate with a passion!

In Primark I bought quite a lot of black things...very unusual for me!

Cream crochet collar black jumper, believe it or not this is a size 6!!! I am a size 12 with a 34F chest and no way would I fit into a size 6 jumper....I don't know how they get their sizing. This is stunning I wore this the other day with black denim jeggings and its just so versatile.

Cable knitted mini skirt, this is really versatile I also wanted it in cream but it had sold out!

Black pencil skirt which I thought was ideal for work

and I got these cable knit tights...love the look of these.

and a hair turban....my friend uses these and said they are fab.  Instead of using a towel to wrap your hair after you have washed it you place your hair inside it wrap it around and it has a loop and a button so you can tie it together and it stops your hair from falling out of the towel.   You can buy these in Primark for £1.50.

Finally in Peacocks I purchased this berry coloured butterfly purse.  This was only £7.  I had my eye on one in Accessorize which was very similar but it was £16.00.  I cannot get over how nice this is and the quality is amazing especially for 7 quid!

Oh well Ollie looks rather unimpressed by my haul doesn't he?

I am sorry I have not been blogging as much but I am working now and I am so tired I will try and do some outfit posts soon.

Thank you

Lets call a rather big haul!

Hello everyone

Well I have had a lovely couple of days in Swindon with my best friend but I shall blog about this in my next post as I just wanted to show you my haul from a couple of weeks ago.  Unfortunately these photos were taken with my old camera so they still have the black marks.  I do have a new one (which I did not pay a penny for :) extended warranty is a good things sometimes!

I shall start off in Mango where I bought this gorgeous cream knitted dress.

I adore this dress I wanted it in red too as I have a thing about wanting a red knitted dress for winter.  I think they are super stylish and cosy and this dress is just so flattering, its really thick and stretchy too.  The quality is lovely and I do love Mango :)

In New Look I purchased 2 dresses... plus some shoes, a belt and earrings!

First dress is this floral wrap dress. I love this dress,  again its very flattering on me the only thing I am not keen on is it sticks to my tights a bit...needs a slip underneath and some static spray.

I also purchased this rather 'summery' looking Skater Dress. I love the pattern on this.

Then I purchased these cute leopard print pumps, I have been after some of these for a while but I never seemed to be able to find ones I really liked s I have seen quite a few with round toes...yuck and stupid gold bars on them...yuckety yuck.  I prefer the pointed toe as I think they are more elegant so I love these.

and I also got these earrings in the sale, they were half price.

And this Nude Bow Belt

In H&M I purchased two tops

This pink lace edged vest top, was a bit steep for a basic top as it was £5.99 but its lovely material and stretchy.

Cream Lace Top

I bought some really nice things in Swindon which I shall blog about later in the week.

Take care
