Christmas shopping

Well I went christmas shopping yesterday with OH and got quite a few presents I have now done all my shopping apart from OH's presents which I will be getting over the next few weeks. He is extremely hard to buy for as I ask him what he wants and he always says...nothing! great. I have some ideas but I wish he would just give me some hints.

I have 3 secret santas to get this year! I have already brought one girl in work some earrings in Acessorize and another a necklace from Per Una M&S. She is an older lady and loves Per Una jewellery. The other I am getting from kath Kidston in Bath

As I still do not have a camera I cannot take any photos...I must get a camera soon.

It was packed everywhere and there were massive queues...thats the only bad thing about christmas shopping.

I am off to Birmingham next Saturday with a friend so looking forward to that. I love shopping in Birmingham. I also love the fact that they have a really nice Mango and Zara there.

I have decided I do not need anymore casual clothes as I have loads of dresses, tunics, leggings, jeggings and tops but I really need more work smart clothes.

I received the Next items, the stripe tunic is lovely but miles too small I ordered a 10 but its more like a size 6! I can just squeeze my boobs into it but it looks like it has been painted on...! Also the boots were awful they are way too short I do prefer the longer ones I think.

Therefore I ordered these from Barratts and got 20% off with code amazingb (if anyone wants to use it). I am hoping they are a lot better than the Next ones and they were only £12.

I really should not browse online so much as I have fell in love with this jumper dress..isn't it cute! I dont really want to spend £48 on a knitted dress though so I may wait until christmas as I am bound to get money for xmas and buy it them if its still in stock.

aww and look at these...they are out of stock...boo!!!

I am a mouse...apparently!

Well I was told today that I remind my work colleagues of a mouse!

I thought that was an insult however apparently its because I am small (5ft 3ins), cute, nice, sweet, gentle and easily scared. The latter is definitely true..I am a real girly!

Anyway I was telling my colleagues today that I would love to have joined the police......after they picked themselves up from rolling about on the floor with laughter they said they did not think it would be right for me. I have to agree, but it really annoys me that I am not tough enough to do it.

I really take my hat off to anyone who is a police officer and I feel they deserve respect they are courageous and a lot braver than me.

I think sometimes we are just not cut out to be what we want to be!

To Ugg or not to Ugg that is the question?

hmmm well I have been contemplating for a while buying a pair of Ugg boots??

I see some girls in them and they look fab and cute and then I see others and think nah...so I have decided to order these from Next they are a lot cheaper at only £35 and you can turn them down so the fur is showing...which I think is even cuter.

I am also unsure if I want the longer leg or ankle length! I do love the Chestnut colour though and think they will go with everything. Fingers crossed they look nice!

I also ordered this stripe tunic also from Next

and these cream tunics from Dorothy Perkins I just love the frills on the 1st one but not sure which once would look best on me.

Hows your week going?

My day with the girls

Yesterday I met up with the girls for lunch and shopping, there was 4 of us and we had such a great time. We had lunch and shared a chocolate fondue for dessert, which was hot melted chocolate with chopped strawberries, bananas, waffles and marshmallows...yum it was gorgeous!

I wore this dress with boots and my friends commented on how nice it was.

Its funny but I walked past this guy who was staring at me and he turned to me and said I was stunning and wolf whistled! I wish I could just accept compliments though but I get all embarrased and usually don't believe them!

My camera is broken so hence not many photos

Tan waist belt:

Purple Waist belt (sorry no photo)

Ditsy floral scarf (this is the scarf which I happened to find a small picture off on the internet)

Also one of my friends brought me a beige Fiorelli bag for my birthday (unfortunately I have not got a pitcure of this but its lovely). She loved the presents I brought her.

I also found out another of my friends is getting married next year and my husband's brother may be getting engaged next year and married the year after. They are thinking they want to get married on a cruise around the mediterranean. They love cruising and although we have never been on one I think I would really love it.

I am off to a christening this afternoon and my husband is going to be one of the godfathers. I am going to wear this red knitted dress

Black opaques and these shoes.

Have a nice weekend...whats left of it, the weekend just goes too soon!

Bye for now

Well my camera is well and truly broken so I need to get a new one therefore I cannot take any pictures at the moment.

Yesterday I brought the following:

This frill tunic from Topshop ( I returned the nude one as although I love the style the colour was a bit wishy washy) this is a dusky pink colour.

These earrings from Accessorize (which look much nicer irl)

Body Shop goodies - the vitamin E moisturiser was 50% off and as I have a Body Shop card I got £5 worth of goodies free for my birthday so I got the Strawberry perfume oil because it smells delicious.

Also ordered this bag from ASOS.

For my birthday from my lovely work colleages I had a gorgeous handbag, unfortuntately I cannot take a photo but its so lovely it fastens with diamontes encrusted clasp and also got this Strawberry Body Shop set, someone knows what I love!

I also brought a friend her birthday presents as I will be meeting up with her and two other friends next Saturday. She does not read this blog so I can say what I have brought.

6. When I was little I also used to love playgrounds with swings and slides, I used to have to sit in the middle of the backseat between my brother and sister and whenever they passed a playground or park they would have to distract me and make me look at something else otherwise I would pester my parents to stop at every single one! I can remember them doing that too.

7. We had a rough collie dog (like Lassie) when I was a child and I adored him. It broke my dads heart when he died....and mine!

Thankyou and an update on my birthday!

Firstly thanks to all you gorgeous fellow bloggers who wished me happy birthday.xx

Unfortunately I had to work on my birthday but my lovely work colleagues brought me a gorgeous handbag and some Body Shop Strawberry smellies (my favourite) and I mainly had money from everyone else.
Another guy I work with brought me a box of Thorntons chocolates...sweet.

My camera is broken at the moment so I cannot upload any pics, I have to take it to be repaired this weekend I just hope it can be fixed as it was an expensive camera.

Also I have not seen my best friend yet as she is on holiday at the moment and it was her birthday last Saturday so we both have each others presents. We are meeting up in a couple of weeks so I am so looking forward to that, I hope she loves the presents I have for her xx

Happy Birthday to me!

Hot pink shoes in winter!

Me and OH had today off so we decided to pop to Asda for a few things.

We ended up having a spot of lunch in the restaurant there and I must say it was really nice and a very good price.
They has loads of the clothes reduced to half price but there was nothing I liked.
I find Asda a bit hit and miss!

I had a bit of a clear out again over the weekend and came across these shoes I brought earlier this year from Primark and I have never worn them. They are bright pink but I was reading that pink is going to be big this winter (in all shades) and was wondering if I should wear them to work with opaques.
I love wearing bright oclours but I am quite shy and was worried they were a bit too bright!

Maybe I should wear them and not care what other people think!

Also I found these boots which I really love but for some reason the leather on the toes and heels has worn off and so they look really scuffed. Its such a shame as they are lovely boots and look a lot nicer than the picture.
I wondered if you can buy any paint that would colour over the scuffs to make them look like new? Has anyone else ever brought anything like this?

Uneventful shopping trip!

Oh well had a great day with OH but did not spend much to be honest. There was nothing I really liked so therefore he is going to give me the money and I will keep it until I see something I want. I really want a nice coat but they don't seem to have many that would flatter a big chest, I tried loads on today but they all made me look awful.

Oh well I did buy this cardigan in Primark which is really flattering and a cosy fleece robe.

Also a plain v-neck jumper for work and some tights...nothing exciting.

We went for lunch and I had pizza (one of my favourite foods) and I was very naughty and had Chocolate brownie with hot chocolate sauce and ice cream.....yum yum.

Oh well I am going to finish this post with a picture of my little baby looking cute as per usual.

What is everyone up to this weekend?

Outfit post

Hi

Well I thought I would do an outfit post.

I do think this looks better with black leggings though.

Floral tunic - Topshop
Cardigan - Mango
Jeggings - Next
Boots - Oli

Also I brought this today from Topshop.

I noticed that Emma at http://passionforfashion1983.blogspot.com/ has it in black and I really liked it.

I think its ideal for just slinging on with tights or leggings and I love these style tops they are so flattering.

Going shopping with OH tomorrow and OH is treating me as its my birthday on Tuesday!

I really need some longer cardigans and I want a red bag.

Have a great weekend

Got the Miss Selfridge vest today and....

its so pretty I love it.

I may post an outfit post over the next couple of days wearing it.

So hows everyone's bonfire night going? I must admit I hate fireworks I think they are great in a display but I would never buy them as I feel they are a waste of money.
Poor Thomas has been so scared, he is literally hiding under the bed in the spare room at the moment. I only managed to tempt him out with Salmon but he has ran straight back upstairs...poor little sole.

Oops I am naughty!

Just ordered this from Miss Selfridge it was the last one in my size but I have been eyeing it up for ages.

Got free delivery too with the following code if anyone wants to use it: HQHAIR07.

I may take the H&M one back if this one is nicer...or I suppose I could keep both....naughty!

A gift and a dilemma!

Yesterday I had this gorgeous gift from a friend of mine.

Its really pretty and I am going to put it on my windowsill in the kitchen.

Maybe you lovely fellow bloggers can help me with my dilemma. We got married 6 years ago and I am thinking of selling my wedding dress, it was a designer dress by Maggie Sottero and it cost a lot of money but its just packaged in a box in tissue. The box was specially brought and cost me £30 itself. But do I just leave the dress sat in the box forever as I am never going to wear it again or should I sell it and get some money as the money would go towards paying for our bathroom to be redecorated! I am battling with this so whats your honest opinions? Would you sell your wedding dress?
