OOTD and charity shop finds

Cream dress - Primark
Belt - Peacocks
Boots - New Look
Necklace - New Look

Today, I had to go to the bank so had a look around the local charity shops.  This gorgeous bag caught my eye for only £2.00 and its by Marc B which I know Topshop sell.

and this rather unusual Forever 21 feather print blouse was only £3.50. Its brand new with the tags still attached. I thought this would look cute with jeans or with a pencil skirt. Its really lovely material like silk.

OOTD - red and spotty!

Yes its that spotty dress again!!!
I have been thinking that I need to start wearing some of my other dresses I have bought that I hardly wear.  I am a nightmare as I buy clothes and then forget to wear them ha ha!
Oh also I meant to say I did not actually leave the house and garden today hence why I am wearing such a short dress. I would not actually go out wearing something this short without tights/leggings!

Dress - H&M
Belt - New Look
Shoes - Primark

From the fairisles

Its been such a lovely day today it looks like we are having a bit of an indian summer.

I love summer, the light nights and warm summer days and I think I do suffer with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) in the winter.

There is probably only one thing I love about winter and that is I prefer winter clothing.
I love knitted dresses, faux fur and snug cardi's.

Last winter fairisle knits were in all the shops and it looks like they are back again this year.  I love them as they are so cosy looking.  This is my latest addition courtesy of Primarni.  This is actually a size 10 although it looks big in the picture.

Do you love fairisle knits?

A change of wedding outfit

Hello

Yesterday I went into town to register with another employment agency. I have not had much luck so far but I do have more interviews coming up.

Afterwards I thought I would have a look around town as I was not sure about the dress I was going to wear to the wedding this Saturday, although its lovely I don't think its good enough for a wedding!  I ended up buying this gorgeous teal dress in Awear which was originally £40.00 but reduced to a bargainous £12.00 in the sale.  Its such a lovely colour and I love the design and fit.

and I have this beautiful Fiorelli bag that one of my lovely friends bought me last year for my birthday and it matches so well with it.

I am going to wear nude/cream shoes, the cream pearl and diamonte hairband and the silver bow belt looks fabulous with this dress.

I also bought this ring in Primark its really sparkly.

I shall make sure I take loads of photos I just hope the weather is ok!

If anyone is interested you can get 20% off Awear (online only) until the 16 October 2011 with the code AWMAGAZINE but you have to spend £30.00.

Have a lovely weekend everyone

The latest lovelies..........

Hello everyone

I have not been well the last couple of days (again) and have been confined to bed since Saturday night.

I woke up in the early hours of Sunday morning with a high temperature and shivers plus a terrible sore throat. I have literally spent the last two days dosed up on paracetamol.
I have not really ate much either which has been good for the weight loss but not how you really want to do it. I have decided though to try and continue with eating less and maybe I will lose some weight as I hate actual diets.

The annoying thing is I wore a really nice outfit on Saturday but because I felt ill I forgot to take any photos!

Anyway I have been browsing online and have found a few lovely items:

Catty earrings at Missguided.com

Faux Fur coat from Matalan

Topshop Peter Pan Collar dress - although I would not pay the £50 price tag. Why is Topshop getting so ridiculously expensive??

Topshop Contrast Bow Dress by Rare

Miss Selfridge Gold Button Knit Dress

H&M Teal Fit & Flare Dress

H&M brown boots - these look so snug and comfy also nicer than Uggs.

Oasis Leather wedge boots

Well I am going back to bed now as I am still not feeling 100% well.

Have a good day

Going Dotty

Hello everyone, long time no blogging!

Sorry I have been rather down the last couple of days so I was a 'bad' blogger plus I have a sore throat.

Today hubby had to go into town to pick up his suit for his brothers wedding next Saturday so I went with him and had a little browse.

I bought this dotty dress in H&M. I really love it as it sort of reminds me of 1940's style dress.  Plus dots are meant to be big this season.

I also bought a navy blue longline vest top, in fact its so long its like a dress.
In Primark I took a couple of things back but was most disappointed with their stock.  However I did buy these hair bows, the red looks lovely with dark hair.

I also bought some Palmers Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze, which is a moisturiser with fake tan.  I will do a review of this sometime soon.

I went for 4 interviews last week, two of them I have not heard from despite them telling me they would definitely get back to me by yesterday! One of them I was told I did not get (the part time one) but one of the ladies who interviewed me said my interview and test were brilliant and it was only that they had one person who had a healthcare background and so thats why I came 2nd. It was brilliant feedback and I got the feeling the lady was genuinely regrettable that I was not chosen as I had a great rapport with them.
The other job I will not hear about till next week.

Anyway I hope all my followers are ok and sorry I have not been blogging much of late.

Miso Republic dress via Ebay!

Hiya

I was most impressed with my bargain find on Ebay this week.  This Miso at Republic dress was £4.00 including postage.  Its a size 12 but I have to admit looks more like a 10. I think Miso sizes are quite small though.

This dress would have originally cost £27.99 or more at Republic.  I think its really pretty and I will wear it now with tights and boots or flats.

A quick update on my jobsearch, I had an interview yesterday but I don't find out anything till the end of the week and I have another 2 interviews tomorrow (one of them is part time) and I have another on Friday.

Topshop and H&M buys!

Hiya
Mike has this week off so today we popped out to our local big shopping mall as we needed to get a wedding present for Mike's brother and his fiancee.  They have a wedding list at John Lewis so we got them something from there.
Whenever I go into John Lewis I always have to take a look at the designer bags and  I notice that John Lewis are now selling Cath Kidston....I love CK.
Men don't understand do they as Mike's response was '£50 for a plastic bag' ha ha I suppose I have to admit they are plastic but very very pretty!
Mike is so down to earth and matter of fact it is quite funny and although I am down to earth I am also a dreamer...we are very different and they do say opposites attract.

Anyway I popped into Topshop and bought a pair of my favourite pumps.  I love these ballet pumps they are so comfy and look so pretty and girly.
I bought the 'Salmon' colour as they are called but they are like a beige colour.  I also have these in Nude and they are such fabulous pumps. They are a lot dearer than say Primark pumps but much nicer quality.

I also bought this pretty umbrella as my other one decided to die on me last week in the pouring rain and wind and so it ended up in a bin in town!  I love the little frill around the edge too...very girly!

Also whilst in H&M I also saw these cute little coloured grips.

For lunch we decided to go into Pizza Hut as they have their £5 deal still on, it ends today.

I also got a good bargain on Ebay over the weekend which I shall post about when I receive the item.

Tomorrow I have an interview and then Mike and I may be going to watch The Inbetweeners movie.

9/11 - We will never forget.

I will never forget the day the twin towers were attacked, I was in work and someone put the big tv on that was on the wall.  At first I thought it was a trailer for a movie then I thought it was an accident and that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center.  As I am watching this the 2nd plane went into the towers and I could not believe my eyes, all my colleagues and myself were in total shock and I knew then it was no accident.  I will remember that day for the rest of my life and I really feel after that day the world changed.

My thoughts are with all the people who so sadly lost their lives or were injured and with all the people who lost a loved one in this horrific attack.

RIP

Wedding outfit

Hello everyone

Well as you know I am going to a wedding in a couple of weeks and have decided not to buy a new dress.  I was going to wear the one below as I have only worn it once before and nobody who is going to the wedding (except Mike) has seen it.

I am wearing the dress with this diamonte bow belt from New Look (it actually looks much better on that laid out in the photo)

Silver shoes

and I was going to get this from ASOS but was worried it may be too much.  I love this hairband as its a bow design which would match with the belt.

What do you think?

OOTD Interview - Plus The Good, the bad and the downright funny!

Pink shirt - H&M
Belt - Peacocks
Skirt - Primark
Shoes - Primark

Goods

Jaffa cake doughnut - a la Greggs!  yum yum

I needed something to cheer me up after my awful interview.
I have been eating salad every day for lunch this week and have noticed a slight difference in my body....hooray (hmm the cake has probably minused all my good work out!)

I now have 3 interviews next week (one of them in particular I really want!)

Mike has next week off so we will probably be having a few days out.

Bads

The interview today was not that great. I think the actual interview was fine and I had to type a letter which was ok as I am a pretty good typist, but then I had to do an Excel test which they did not warn me about.  I do not have much of an idea on Excel so I am now looking at free online Excel courses.

Funny

Tommy drinking cat milk and leaving it all over his chin.....aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

An old man in town who was about 90 wearing a flat cap, beige trousers, plimsoll pumps and a proper black leather bikers jacket....zips and all! ha ha cool!

Splitting my skirt in the middle of town...so embarassing. I had to go and buy a new skirt....ha ha
That will teach me to not wear a cheapy £3.00 skirt. I should have worn my new one from New Look its such a nice skirt too as it has a very fine pinstripe...very smart!
