I have found the perfect dress for me!

The other day I blogged about the lovely Dorothy Perkins cream dress that I bought.  On Thursday I was going to wear it but as I put it on I noticed there was a massive tear on the seam, something I never noticed when I bought it! I took it back to get another and well as you can guess they are out of stock in my size...typical!
Therefore I got a refund but still really loved the dress and was hoping I could find one similiar elsewhere.
Fast forward to yesterday and I was browsing the ASOS website and came across this gorgeous dress which is very similiar and reduced from £40.00 to £20.00 so I decided to order this and they were offering free next day delivery.

It arrived this morning at 7am..good old ASOS! I could not wait to try it on and I love it.

Its a lot thicker and nicer material than the DP one the only downsize is that my bra shows through but I could wear a nude slip under it and also the belt is so small. I ordered a size 12 but the belt is for a size 8! I suppose I could put my own belt with it or lose weight!

Please excuse how creased it looks I literally took this photos at 7.15 this morning so it has not been ironed or anything.

You know when you get one of those dresses you feel fabulous in well this is it!

Also thank you for your comments on the outfit ideas for the wedding it sounds like the purple one is the favourite at the moment however I was browsing the Miss Selfridge website yesterday and came across this dress. Isn't this lovely, I also have a pink hat too which I wore to Ascot a few years ago!!

I really should stop online browsing!
Anyway it is £39, I am going to wait a while you never know it may go in the sale by September.....wishful thinking!

Have a lovely weekend everyone

Please I need your opinions on these outfits.

Mike's brother is getting married at the end of September and as I am unemployed at the moment I feel I cannot justify spending loads of money on an outfit in somewhere like Coast which I will hardly wear again.

Therefore I was thinking of wearing this dress with a cream blazer and nude shoes or some glitzy shoes like the ones pictured.  I love those shoes!

Or I could wear this purple dress with purple heels and I have probably got a cardi in my wardobe I could wear.

I love the frill bottom of this dress when you walk it looks lovely.  I have had this ages and never worn it.

Your opinions would be really welcome

Thanks

Hair tracker!

I used to have my hair right down to my waist and I miss having it that length more than I can ever explain.

It may seem trivial to some but my hair was and still is, my security blanket.  I think I put all my attention into my hair, it was the thing I felt that made me stand out and now with it shorter I don't feel I stand out the way I used to, if that makes any sense. I feel boring!

Anyway onto the reason of this post I decided to do a hair growth track so I can see how much longer it grows in the next few months.
I know people probably think my hair is long anyway but to me its not really.

I just hope it hurries up and grows.

Confessions of a Shopaholic!

Ok I have to confess I am naughty, in one of my most recent posts I did say that I would not be spending for a while....BUT I sold some things on ebay and had a bit of money and then happened to see this dress and had to have it.   Yesterday I had to go to the bank iun town for Mike and I intended on not going in any shops....no willpower!!

I have been eyeing up this dress on the Dorothy Perkins website for a while but was worried as the reviews were not brilliant.  As I passed the store this little voice in my head said go and try it on....fatal  mistake! I could not resist this fit and flare dress as it looks really nice and will go with lots of things in my wardrobe.

Also in case anyone is interested New Look are selling all their sunglasses for £1.00 so I snapped up 3 pairs (2 exactly the same) as I am always breaking or losing my sunglasses.  They were originally £7.99 a piece so not exactly expensive glasses but when they are £1.00 how can you say no!

and a waist belt from Peacocks

Yesterday I bought some gardening gloves from the £1.00 shop and today I am going to get out in the garden and sort it out as its a real mess at the moment and I may even make some more cakes.

Outfit of the Day - Lace & Flowers

Lace dress, floral belt and floral wedges all from New Look.

I had a bargain with this dress I snapped it up for £5.00 in the sale (originally £35.00) as the zip was broken and it was the only one left, luckily in my size!  A new zip cost me £1.50 and I sewed it myself.

The job hunting is going ok I have applied for about 8 jobs but the closing dates are all between now and the next 2 weeks...fingers crossed I get something very soon.
I so want to get a job now as I am getting bored there is only so much lazy about you can do before it gets very boring!  I am missing the interaction with people.

The other day I made some chocolate chip muffins

They were delish even though I say so myself.  I had a small bar of dairy milk in the cupboard and thought I would melt it and add it to the top...voila!

Outfit of the Day - Flower Power

Floral Shirt  Dress - H&M
Tan Belt - Next
Nude Pumps - Dorothy Perkins

Thanks for the comments on my previous post I suppose I do worry my outfits are a bit 'samey' but I much prefer to wear dresses with belts than jeans and t-shirts.

Today I was in my local Spar shop and one of the ladies who works there said whenever I see you, you always have loads of shopping bags! Isn't that bad when people start noticing things like that ha ha!
Shopaholic definitely springs to mind!

Outfit of the day - Scattered bows

Bow Dress - H&M
Lace waistcoat - New Look
Belt - Primark
Wedges - New Look
Bow Necklace - Miso at Republic

You know I was wondering do my outfits all look the same? I do tend to stick to wearing the same belts just because they go with so many things and I do tend to wear dresses most of the time!!

Are my outfits boring, that is the question???

I was also thinking the other day that I do tend to wear a lot of floral dresses and I worry I may look a bit grannyish! The rule I have with floral dresses on me is they must be short and I must wear a belt as otherwise I tend to feel a but frumpy.
I was also thinking how many of  my friends and people I know wear floral/patterned dresses and would they suit them and I come to the conclusion that not many do and no they would not suit them so why do I think they suit me!!!
There are a few bloggers that look amazing in floral dresses
 Laura of http://adaisychaindream.blogspot.com/
Vicky of http://vintagevixon.blogspot.com/
   Sadie of http://www.brandnewbutterflywings.com/
 and Emma of http://passionforfashion1983.blogspot.com/
to name but a few.  I suppose its just all down to the cut the and the style.

When I think of my 18 year old self I would have laughed if back then someone had said I would wear patterned/floral dresses.  How time changes you!

My Saturday shopping trip - H&M, New Look and Primark

Hiya

As I mentioned in a previous post hubby took me shopping today and I got 3 dresses, a bag, boots, tights and some fake uggs and I only spent £14.00.

I took two items back that I bought a few weeks ago that I was not sure about and hubby bought me two of the dresses from H&M.

In H&M I got these 3 dresses:
Fit & Flare dress - I used the web picture as the photo I took does not do this dress justice.  I love the fit of the dress I also have this in plain black. I think its very autumn looking

Bow print Dress

Floral shirt dress

Do you wear some of your clothing in different seasons?

In New Look I got these boots I know its still summer but I love these!

and some black pointelle tights. I don't usually wear pattern style tights as I don't know why but I feel a bit self conscious in them but I think these are nice.

I will have to try and so some outfit posts now with all my new dresses.

I also quickly popped into Primark as I saw this bag in the window and I had to have it.

Plus I bought some fake uggs for a fiver.

I am not an ugg fan I actually only bought them to wear around the house and garden as I tend to end up going out in the garden in bare feet.....ouch!  They are comfy and warm and also ideal for autumn/winter.

Well I must admit I won't be shopping for a while now, I say that but you know me ha ha! I still need to find out an outfit for Mike's brothers wedding but its not until September.

I must admit I am not feeling too well today I ache all over from my back, jaw, head and neck and my right side of my cheek feels swollen and lumpy...weird. I hope I am not coming down with something.

Have a lovely weekend everyone

Tenerife haul

In Tenerife all the sales were on they have a big Zara store and a Mango.  They also had a Bershka and a Stradivarious which I think are well known stores in Europe.  All the items I bought were in the sale.

♥Zara♥
I bought this red dress which was £39.99 euros reduced to 15.99 euros which is about £13 in UK money. Its quite thick ponte style material.

♥Mango♥

Black Ponti Skinny  Leg Trousers - orig 35 euros reduced to 11.95 euros.  These are such lovely trousers and a better alternative to leggings. They are a lovely thick stretch material I wish I had gotten two pairs now as they are fabulous and feel lovely on.

Long cream belted cardigan

♥Stradivarius♥

Floral dress

Long blue cardi ( I love the colour its so pretty and an unusual blue)

Long cream jumper (this looks much nicer worn as the photo does not do this justice) It looks lovely with blue skinny jeans or blue jeggings.

Brown knitted dress -  29.99 reduced to 5.99 euros. Same as above the photo does not do it justice.

Tan spotty dress - 29.99 reduced to 5.99 euros  - love this dress looks fabulous worn

and in Womens Secrets - Felix the cat PJ's

These are so soft and yet another item that is fantastic quality and really lovely material.

I have to admit the clothing in Spain is a bit cheaper than the UK but really nice quality and fit.  I think it definitely helped that the sales were on so things were mega cheap.
